As noted before, the July 8th AEW Dynamite Beach Break 2026 show in Clearwater, Florida featured Kenny Omega defeating MJF to become the new AEW World Champion. This match was notable for featuring the stipulation of if Omega lost, then he would never be allowed to challenge for the AEW World title again in his AEW career.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that MJF could be potentially taking a break from AEW television following his AEW World title loss. It was reported that this is something that has yet to be confirmed to be happening for MJF.
It was reported that those spoken to stated that MJF is still expected to be factored into AEW officials plans for this August’s All In 2026 event at Wembley Stadium if he does go on a break.
