MLW Provides Update on Bishop Dyer Contract Talks & Says He’s “Locked Out of MLW” on 7/4 MLW Fusion Show

As noted before, Bishop Dyer, former Baron Corbin in WWE, is currently believed to be finishing up his commitments with Major League Wrestling and the indies before making his expected return to WWE. The June 27th episode of Fusion featured the storyline announcement of contract negotiations with Dyer had broken down and an update would be provided on the July 4th episode.

Saturday’s MLW Fusion show on beIN Sports, Veeps, and MLW’s official YouTube channel featured MLW commentator Rich Bocchini providing an update stating that negotiations between Dyer and MLW have “hit a standstill.” Dyer was stated to be looking for more salary and other demands that would “make a billionaire blush.”

It was stated that Dyer is now “locked out” of MLW due to the current situation with his contract talks.

It was also announced that Donovan Dijak could continue forward as the current MLW World Tag Team Champions as long as he found a new partner to replace Dyer.

In a follow-up segment, Karl Anderson defeated Dijak in a singles match leading to Josh Bishop coming out and attacking Anderson. Bishop was revealed to be Dijak’s new tag team partner and member of The Skyscrappers.

It was confirmed that Dijak and Bishop are now officially recognized as the current MLW World Tag Team Champions.
