WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that the reason why WWE has yet to announce an official location for this year’s Survivor Series event is due to issues involving their original plans for the location.
It was reported that WWE had been looking at hosting this year’s event at an international location but those plans have fallen through in the last few months.
It was also reported that the city of Boston, Massachusetts, had pushed to host Survivor Series this year but negotiations fell through due to financial-related issues with the terms of the deal. These issues reportedly were similar to when WWE had been in negotiations with Boston to potentially host John Cena’s retirement match before it eventually went to Washington, D.C. instead.
Those spoken to reportedly stated that an official announcement regarding this year’s Survivor Series is currently expected to be made before this August’s SummerSlam 2026 event in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
