Maxxine Dupri Joins The Vision, The Vision Wins WWE World Tag Titles

Monday’s WWE RAW show at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois featured Maxxine Durpi turning heel and officially joining The Vision.

Prior to the start of the WWE World Tag Team Championship match between The Vision (Austin Theory & Bron Breakker) and The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford), Paul Heyman interrupted The Vision’s backstage interview and talked about how the group failed to take out Seth Rollins and how Theory failed to take out Joe Hendry. Heyman then warned Theory to bring back something worthy of “The Wiseman” or don’t bother coming back at all.

Near the end of the WWE World Tag Team Championship match, Logan Paul tossed a brass knuckles into the ring while the referee was distracted leading to a tussle that ended with Dawkins grabbing it. Before Dawkins could use it, Dupri ran out from the crowd and delivered a low blow to Dawkins. This led to Theory covering Dawkins for the titles victory.

Following the match, Dupri ran up to Theory and leaped into his arms and the two kissed in celebration.

Dupri joining The Vision was initially setup over recent months shows involving Dupri hanging out with Theory backstage and Dupri acting more heelish and mean towards Alpha Academy when confronted.

WWE IC Title Match Announced for WWE SummerSlam 2026

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured one new match announced for the card of SummerSlam 2026, which takes place on August 1-2 at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

This new match announced was a WWE Intercontinental Championship match of winner of #1 Contender Gauntlet match vs. Penta (c).

  • WWE World Heavyweight Championship – Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns (c)
  • WWE Women’s World Championship – IYO SKY vs. Liv Morgan (c)
  • WWE Intercontinental Championship – winner of #1 Contender Gauntlet match vs. Penta (c)
  • Hell in a Cell match – Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar

Cody Rhodes Not Cleared To Compete After Gunther Attack

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured the announcement of Cody Rhodes not being medically cleared to compete in his scheduled match against Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Championship on the show.

At the start of the show, Rhodes confronted Zayn in the parking garage about their match tonight only for Gunther to show up and attacked Rhodes laying him out. Gunther then confronted Zayn bad mouthing him as the champion and continued his attack on Rhodes slamming a car door into his face.

In a follow-up segment, Zayn was interviewed backstage by Jackie Redmond who informed Zayn about Rhodes not being cleared to compete tonight after being sent to the hospital. After some words by Zayn who was happy over the news, RAW GM Adam Pearce showed up and informed Zayn that he will still be defending his title tonight. Pearce then walked off without revealing who the mystery opponent is.

CM Punk Makes Surprise Return & Wins Undisputed WWE Title

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured CM Punk making his surprise return to WWE.

Punk was revealed to be the mystery opponent for Sami Zayn’s Undisputed WWE Championship match after Cody Rhodes was declared not cleared to compete following Gunther’s attack to him earlier.

Punk defeated Zayn to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.

This was Punk’s first appearance since this past April’s RAW After Mania show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This was also Punk’s third WWE Championship victory in his WWE career.
