We go backstage to Lexy Nair with Persephone, saying some It Girls need to stop confusing luck with success. Maya World’s golden ticket brought her to Wembley, but Persephone is going to make her choke on it. It might be Maya’s World, but she’ll make sure her world stops spinning and the TBS Title will meet its new owner.

Eight-Man Tag Team match
The Opps (Action Andretti, Anthony Bowens, HOOK, & Katsuyori Shibata) vs. “Blackheart” Lio Rush & The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz, Myron Reed, & Dezmond Xavier)

Rush was announced as “slithering to the ring” and he came out in a rainbow poncho and umbrella. We’re told HOOK is wearing Led Zepplin inspired gear, as the bell sounds and it’s chaos from the jump. Rush galloped around the ring into a Tope on Andretti on the outside. Back inside, a kip-up enzugiri led to a Spanish Fly off the top for a near fall. Bowens in to hit a double team running knee/Shooting Star combo with Andretti for a near fall. Misdirect drop-step into a throw from HOOK, as Shibata in to offer a handshake to Rush, who bit it, but Shibata tried again, this time, booting Rush. Shibata whiffed on a high kick and Rush waved bye-bye, tagging Xavier, who ramped up the speed and The Rascalz rattled off quick tags. Pump kick/German folded up Andretti, Reed popped Bowens with a thrust kick, leading to the up and over triple dropkick for two.

Shibata pulls Xavier & Wentz outside, as Reed was left eating an Andretti shotgun dropkick into a HOOK overhead throw. Shibata planted Rush with a suplex on the apron, but Rush held on and hit a suplex on the floor. The Opps try a triple team on Reed, who hit a comeback Stunner on Andretti & Bowens before hitting a gnarly diving Cutter on Andretti from the ring to the floor, going splat outside. Back inside, Reed rolled through a 450, Shibata returned, caught a handspring pump knee from Wentz, Andretti in with a Cutter, Xavier flies in with a handspring Pele Kick, HOOK spiked Xavier with an Exploder, Rush clears HOOK, Bowens Mollywopped Rush and took out a pile with a dive outside. Xavier was spiked with a Fame-Asser, Reed took a thrust kick flush, as during all this chaos, Rush made a blind tag, as Xavier took a twisting hanging DDT from the corner. Rush flew in with a Rush Hour stunner to blindside Bowens and followed with a massive Frog Splash for the win.

Winner: “Blackheart” Lio Rush & The Rascalz via Pinfall.

Backstage: The Dogs, The Demand

We go back to the panel and it’s starting to pour rain as they give their thoughts on the Trios Roulette Royale. The Dogs are backstage saying all the rats will scurry around, not knowing what to do in that match, but Gabe Kidd spoke to Death Riders, they know what to do and spoke to another trio who helped them out when he was gone. The Demand walk in and it looks we got an alliance between these two teams. Clark Connors & David Finaly run down the rest of the team, including whoever the mystery team is, as Ricochet said they’re all in Demand.

Kris Statlander & Harley Cameron vs. Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart & Skye Blue)

Because it’s raining, I think they’re steering clear of talent making entrances on the actual stage, as both teams just seemingly appeared on the ramp as their entrance theme played. Cameron & Blue scrap at the opening bell, as Cameron connects on a flying neckbreaker and Shining Wizard for the first near fall. Statlander in for the legsweep/slingshot senton and tilt-a-whirl slam combo, as Blue floated over a suplex, tags in Hart, who was the one to eat a suplex. Boot up in the corner and hurricanrana from Hart, as Blue & Cameron tag back in, Cameron hits a high cross and baseball slide. Cameron goes after Hart, but Blue recovered enough to catch Cameron with a thrust kick. Sisters of Sin keep Cameron isolated, until she’s finally able to kick free and make the hot tag to Statlander.

Blue & Hart get ping-ponged in the corner, as Blue took a release German and Statlander just slams Hart onto her partner for two. Hart escapes a fireman’s carry into the Flying Octopus Hold, which Statlander tried reversing into her finish, but Blue made the save with a thrust kick. Hart sinks in Hartless, but Cameron broke it up with a head kick. Tag officially made, as Cameron charged at a legal Blue, who hit a quick spinning neckbreaker, tagged back in Hart and hit a double front face suplex and superkick for two. Cameron fought back, spiking Blue with a Crucifix Bomb, as Statlander returned with a discus lariat on Hart, but Blue hit a flying knee for the full reset. Statlander caught a diving Blue off the apron and planted her hard with a slam on the floor, as Cameron rattled off machine gun forearms on Hart. Blind tag from Statlander, as Cameron hit a backstabber and put Hart in position for Statlander to hit Sunday Night Fever for the win.

Boom & Doom (Big Boom AJ & QT Marshall) & The Hurt Syndicate (Shelton Benjamin & Bobby Lashley) vs. Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, Lee Moriarty, & The Infantry (Carlie Bravo & Capt. Shawn Dean))

For those keeping track, The Rizzler didn’t make the track to Wembley. Schiavone completely broke Taz & Excalibur when he said Big Justice is getting bigger before their eyes. Justice brought out a box for cookies, but it had a bunch of money in it to officially pay off Lashley & Benjamin. Moriarty & Benjamin (a singles match I very much want to see) start things off, as Benjamin no sells chops and an arm drag, so Moriarty tries using his speed, only to get slammed down. While in a suplex position, Benjamin passes Moriarty off to AJ, who delivers the move before Marshall tags in with a pop-up right hand. Marshall tried a springboard, but Dean tripped him up and STP have their way with attacks, posing to the camera. Everyone in STP lock their hands for extra leverage outside on an abdominal stretch, even getting a fan ringside in on it, until referee Bryce finally notices 5 people interfering, so he kicks it free.

AJ made the tag, but was swarmed by the STP corner with locomotion corner splashes and Dean delivers the BBC (which Excalibur can actually say stands for the British Broadcasting Company this time). Excalibur tells Taz that the BBC airs darts, but Schiavone tells them it’s not that BBC, refusing to say what it actually means. Lashley made the tag and went after everyone accept Moriarty and mowed down Taylor with a massive Spear on the floor. Dean tried a charge back inside, but took a powerslam, as Bravo came in and paint brushed Lashley. Rightful “You F’d Up” chants, but Bravo was able to get a pump-fake punch and double suplex with Dean. Benjamin in with an Ankle Lock on Dean, Bravo tried making a save with a dive, but Benjamin scaled the ropes with a throw. Taylor planted Benjamin with a spinebuster, as he & AJ slugged it out with Taylor winning that exchange. Marshall saves his partner with a handspring kick, leaving Taylor to take an assisted Power BOOM.

Dean & Bravo save Taylor, but get taken to Suplex City for their troubles, while Moriarty was turned inside out with a Lashley Spear. Marshall takes out a pile with a spingboard dive outside, as Adora & XO take the ref. AJ & Justice jump in and hit father/son Spears on The Infantry, as Lashley officially puts away Bravo with a Dominator for the win.

Winner: Boom & Doom & The Hurt Syndicate via Pinfall.

Post-match, Justice present an oversized check with The Rizzler’s face on it to The Hurt Syndicate for $50,000.

Ringside: Renee Paquette, Paul Wight, Jeff Jarrett, Mick Foley

The music for The American Dragon Bryan Danielson hits and he’s out to a massive ovation to do commentary, as he tells them two years ago was the biggest night of his career and expects that to be the case with multiple talent on the card tonight.

Persephone vs. Maya World (c)

Persephone uses her size to control early, but World is right there with her to respond with the speed, as both trade near falls. Persephone gains the advantage in the corner, but World answers with a spin kick, knocking Persephone to the outside. World wants a dive, but Persphone cowers, suckering World to the outside, trying an Electric Chair, which World spun out of and hit a cross-body off the apron. Back inside, Persephone answers with a Death Lock, but World valiantly crawls to the ropes. World tried a cazadora double stomp, but Persephone was ready and countered into a Dragon Sleeper. World rolled out into a pin counter, broke the hold and got her double stomp for two. Persephone used her power once again to catch World with a sit-out DVD, but as she charged for a Spear, World was ready with a thrust kick. Persephone hit a fall-away slam of her own, kipped up, but opted to pose, allowing World to hit a wild springboard Stunner for the double down.

Both ladies just broke the standing 10-count, as World rolled through a dive out of the corner, Persephone tried to steal a pin with her hands on the ropes, right in front of the ref, who didn’t count. World got a roll-up for two, Persephone quickly up and hit a Spear for a close two. Both make their way up to the top, as World hits her fall-away slam, avalanche style, then does another bridging version, only Persephone got a rope break, rolling outside. World quickly out to bring her back in, she goes up top, but Persephone took the ref, as a masked person shoved World off the top. Persephone hits the Razor’s Edge and gets the pin and the TBS Title.

Winner: Persephone via Pinfall to become the new TBS Champion.

Post-match, Danielson said he has a hunch on who it could be, who has been working with Persephone & hates World? I’m going to assume he thought it would be Hikaru Shida, only it’s not who he thought it was, as the masked person put on The Lock Jaw and the crowd pops huge. The black and yellow mask is taken off to reveal the returning Dr. Britt Baker DMD who stood tall over World.

Ringside: Renee Paquette, Paul Wight, Jeff Jarrett, Thekla

Thekla’s music hits and she crashes the pre-show panel, jumping on the table saying she’s back, as you can’t have the biggest night of the year without the Toxic Spider. She’s going to sit-back with a spicy margarita, watching very closely. Thekla tells Willow Nightingale, she’ll never forget what she took from her. Win or lose, up or down or all around, sh*t will get toxic. She chucks the microphone and hits the spider pose on the table and the utter joy on Mick Foley’s face as this happened was hilarious. Hope this isn’t the last we see on Thekla tonight, as she got a massive ovation.

Backstage: Persephone, Britt Baker

Lexy Nair is backstage with Persephone, who said The It Girl isn’t It anymore. Nair brings up the help she had and Persephone said a wise doctor told her to work smarter not harder. Britt Baker walks in saying it’s so good to be back, but just because she hasn’t been around doesn’t mean she hasn’t been watching. Funny thing about being away, you get perspective about who is worthy of your time. Percy here is worthy of being Double Champ and asks her to tell her the good thing about mutual enemies. Persephone brings up Thunder Rosa and says if she wants to stick her nose in her business, she has someone new in her corner.

The Dogs (Clark Connors, Gabe Kidd, & David Finlay) vs. The Demand (Toa Liona, Bishop Kaun, & Ricochet) vs. Death Riders (Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, & PAC) vs. The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, & Roderick Strong) vs. Bang Bang Gang (Jay White & The Gunns (Austin & Colten Gunn) vs. Swerve Strickland & The New Level (Kofi & Austin Creed) vs. The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly (Hangman Adam Page, Bandido, & Brody King) (c)

We’re told over the top rope is how you’re eliminated in this, as The Bang Bang Gang & The Dogs are the first two teams and they slug it out immediately, as The Gunns & White won the opening exchange, opting to pose, giving The Dogs a chance to pounce. Colten starts cleaning house with dropkicks aplenty, leading to a Fame-Asser, as they all crotch chop Connors. There’s a cool looking Roulette Wheel on the big screen that spins to find out our next team and it lands on The Demand. Ricochet & Gates of Agony waste no time swarming The Gunns & White, as Kaun planted Austin with a pop-up Stunner and Ricochet flew in with a 450 Splash. The Dogs & Demand stood tall to pose, as despite being at a 6-3 disadvantage, The Dogs all get planted with 3:10 to Yuma, as Liona took one with the assistance of White. Colten was sent over the top, landed on the apron, but Connors dove through the ropes with a spear, eliminating him.

The Conglomeration are next as Strong & O’Reilly sprint to the ring, while Cassidy briskly walked, which is sprinting for him and when he finally made it, was used as a projectile by Strong on everyone in his path. Liona & Kaun launched Austin over the top, as White is the only Bang Bang Gang member remaining. The wheel spins and Death Riders are out and even Marina Shafir is in the ring to join on locomotion splashes. Strong & Shafir face off to pop the crowd, as Shafir slaps her husband, who spiked his wife with a backbreaker to a huge reaction. Yuta took a pop-up boot from O’Reilly, PAC made the save, only ate a combo as well. Castagnoli ate a high/low, as a group of guys pile up in the ropes, leading to Strong & O’Reilly to get dumped by a pack of heels.

AEW Trios Champs The Good, The Bad & El Guapo is out next and that’s their team name on the big screen. All the heels are ready, with the only babyfaces remaining in the ring being Cassidy & White. Page & Brodido fight off the numbers and hit a trifecta of corner cannonballs. Castagnoli saves Yuta from taking a 21-Plex, as King starts chopping any and everyone. The heels starts swarming the faces and they all dump out King surprisingly quickly. Cassidy fired off an Orange Punch on Yuta, but gets wiped out with White. It seems like Bandido is down on the floor being checked on by referee Aubrey and a doctor, as he’s not been eliminated yet. It seems like all the heels are just posing and wasting time while Excalibur plugs how to order the show one more time with 5-minutes left on the Buy-In. Finally, Cassidy starts throwing Orange Punches at every heel and stood tall before collapsing. Excalibur tells us you’ll see the finish on the PPV and the pre-show ends with 30 seconds left.

Main show starts with Cassidy, Page & White all back-to-back in the middle of the ring, as they’re swarmed by the heels. Swerve Strickland’s music hits and he’s out with Prince Nana to a huge reaction. That’s followed by Press Start being shown on the big screen and The New Level of Kofi & Austin Creed have arrived in AEW. Massive reaction from the London crowd, as they hit the ring with a combo of strikes on Yuta, followed up with a rolling brainbuster from Strickland. The Demand put a stop to the good times, dropping Strickland with a Doomsday Device on Strickland and were about to deliver Open the Gates, until Kofi popped Kaun with Trouble in Paradise, Kaun spiked with a Tornado DDT from Creed and Kaun & Liona are both eliminated. Standing leg-drop on Ricochet, as Cassidy low bridges Yuta to the apron and eliminated via Orange Punch, but Ricochet dumped Cassidy.

Bandido has returned, shoulder heavily taped, hits a Tornillo on a pile and huge DDT on Castagnoli. He wanted a 21-Plex, but Strickland clocked him mid-takeoff. Strickland & Page have an intense face-off, broke up by Ricochet, who gets an assisted Buckshot for his troubles. Page & Strickland eat double Spears from The Dogs, as Bandido is spiked with a Kidd piledriver and dumped, as Connors was taken out on the other side. Finlay & White spill over the top, fight to the apron, as White hit a Blade Runner off the apron on Finlay, but Kidd dumped White. Kidd was spiked with a Deadeye from Page, as Creed & Kofi try dumping him, Page fought them off, was about to deliver a Buckshot, but Ricochet hit a springboard dropkick to eliminate Page and the Trios Champs are all eliminated. Strickland did his powerbomb/powerslam, dumping Ricochet in the process.

We’re down to Castagnoli, Kidd, PAC, Strickland & The New Level, as Kofi held on by his feet, with the heels not knowing it and they did their huddle celebration. Kofi tried to sit-up, PAC stomped him down, the feet still not hitting, so Nana came in with a wheelbarrow to Kofi to the steps to a huge pop. Kofi in with a springboard cross-body on Castagnoli, then hit a Demolition Decapitation double stomp with Creed. Kidd was hung up on the apron and Strickland hit a springboard House Call to eliminate Kidd in the process. Kofi & Creed hit double clotheslines to dump Castagnoli & PAC to win the match.

Winner: Swerve Strickland & The New Level to become the new AEW World Trios Champions.

AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship
The Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor & Jamie Hayter) vs. Divine Dominion (Lena Kross & Megan Bayne) (c)

The Birds attack at the start, hitting stereo dives off the top with a Hayter cross-body and Windsor tumbleweed from the apron. Kross answers, dropping Windsor face-first on the apron and just dropped Windsor with a thud of a slam ringside. Spear from Bayne folded up Hayter inside and she stayed isolated for an extended time, including a nice pendulum German suplex out of the corner from Kross. Hayter was able to finally clip both Bayne & Kross with clotheslines and made the hot tag to Windsor. Misdirect turned Kross inside out, as Bayne found herself trapped in the ropes and dropkicked to the floor. Windsor lit up Kross with boots and Blue Thunder Bomb for two. Hayter joins for a double team, but eats a double noggin knocker with her partner from Kross, who tags Bayne and the champs hit locomotion corner boots and a Bayne release German for a near fall.

Kross tried a German on Hayter, who ducked and Bayne clocked her partner with a running boot. Double DVD on Bayne from The Birds, but Kross chucked Hayter onto the pile to break the pin. Match keeps breaking down, as I have no idea how referee Paul Turner knows who is legal. Dominion hit stereo release Germans, but The Birds keep fighting and won’t stay down, as they hit double clotheslines for the reset. Bayne & Windsor start a forearm battle, with Bayne switching levels and hitting a flying clothesline. Jumping headbutt from Windsor in the corner, as Hayter made the blind tag, clawed at Bayne from the apron before joining her partner for a double superplex. Running knee decked Bayne for a near fall, as Bayne avoids a double charge and double German suplexes The Birds. The champs go for their double chokeslam, but Hayter countered into a double DDT. Bayne & Kross no-sold, so Hayter fought back, until they hit a nasty running boot/German combo.

Dominion hits Heaven to Hell double chokeslam, but Windsor pulled Kross to the outside to break the count. Bayne pulls Windsor to the apron, but Windsor hit a German on the edge of the ring. Kross is driven down with a Hayt-Breaker and The Birds hit Two Birds, One Stone to get the pin and the titles as we get a pyro show on the stage.

Winner: The Brawling Birds via Pinfall to become the new AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions.

AEW Continental Cup Finals
Jon Moxley vs. Nigel McGuinness

Excalibur said this is McGuinness’ fourth match this year (for us stat nerds, it’s his fifth, he wrestled at Supercard of Honor in May), as Moxley wasted no time stomping on the injured ankle. McGuinness fought back with an uppercut that forced Moxley to take a powder. Back inside, punt kick to the back and clubbing blow from the corner led to an arm captured bridging hammerlock, which Danielson said he’s had done to him and it’s the worst feeling. Moxley rolled out, wrenching the ankle, as McGuinness got up, threw forearms, tried his Nigel lariat, only to have the leg dropkicked out, Moxley was ready. Going back to the ankle, Moxley starts ripping off the tape, causing McGuinness to use the tape to start choking Moxley and regained control, slamming Moxley down to the mat by his shoulder to soften him up for the London Dungeon. Moxley rolled through, biting free, as he fires repeated charging corner clotheslines, until McGuinness hit an uppercut that popped Moxley up to the corner in position for the Tower of London for two.

Moxley reversed a submission into the LeBell Lock, posing at Danielson in the process, but McGuinness reversed into one of his own. Danielson said McGuinness’ grip is perfect, while Moxley was barely together. Moxley countered into an Ankle Lock, as both up, bonk heads, Nigel lariat attempted again, this time right into a Moxley Cutter. Stomping down on the Achilles, Moxley waits for McGuinness to get to his feet for a forearm battle. Third time is a charm, as the Nigel lariat finally connects into the reset. Ripcord lariat flattens Moxley, as McGuinness limped around, only to sucker Moxley into trying a Nigel lariat of his own, but McGuinness fired off another lariat. Moxley quickly recovered into a Bulldog Choke, but McGuinness pulled his head forward to break the hold and sink in the London Dungeon. Danielson is screaming at him to end it, as the crowd pops huge as Moxley is teasing the hell out of tapping, but rolls through into an Ankle Lock.

McGuinness rolls through into the closest near fall of the match, kicks free, as Moxley tries a sunset flip and we get the tease of the Bret/Bulldog Summerslam 92 finish, McGuinness sits forward for a close two. McGuinness starts throwing wild shots, Moxley wisely ducks and McGuinness stumbles over him into an Ankle Lock once more. Curb Stomp delivered, Moxley grapevines the leg and sinks in the Ankle Lock yet again, as the crowd is screaming No, as we get the greatest tease of a rope break maybe ever, as McGuinness comes within an inch of getting his fingertip on the rope before tapping.

Winner: Jon Moxley via Submission to become the winner of the AEW Continental Challenge Cup tournament.

Post-match, Death Riders ran out and celebrated with Moxley ringside as he bolted into the crowd and celebrated like a madman. McGuinness was left in the ring, standing on his own accord, bowing to the crowd, who gave him a massive ovation.

AEW International Championship Three-way Match
Kazuchika Okada vs. Konosuke Takeshita vs. Kyle Fletcher (c)

Bell sounds and Fletcher took out Okada instantly, leaving a shocked look on Takeshita’s face, until the former Proto-shita collides. Flying clothesline from Takeshtia connects, but Fletcher answered with a big boot to the apron. Okada blocks a PK, draped Fletcher on the apron and pulled Takeshita in for a double DDT variety. Double somersault dive takes out the pile, as Don Callis applauds from the commentary table. Okada delivers an Air Raid Crash neckbreaker to Takeshita back inside and slowly goes up top for his falling elbow before giving the Rainmaker middle finger pose. Fletcher appeared from behind, flipping Okada off and delivering a Half and Half. Everyone trades Tombstone attempts until Fletcher lawn darts Okada, but Takeshita nails a Poison Rana, only to run into a Fletcher Michinoku Driver for two. Okada dropkick, pump knee from Takeshita, brainbuster on Fletcher by Okada, Rainmaker by Takeshita on Fletcher, who took out Takeshita with Raging Fire in an insane sequence.

Okada brought out a screwdriver, but was caught by Fletcher, so he presented it as a gift. Fletcher took it, went to use it on Takeshita, but Okada tried a Rainmaker on Fletcher, missed, so Takeshita hit a stereo O’Connor Roll/German Suplex for a double near fall to a huge pop. Takeshita took the screwdriver, Okada begged off, as Takeshita threw it aside, only to eat an Okada dropkick and flying corner boot from Fletcher. Okada went for Rainmaker, Takeshita ducked and Fletcher took the bullet. Multiple short-arm lariats from Okada on Fletcher, who went for a proper Rainmaker, but Fletcher connected first. Helluva Kick from Takeshita, who brought Fletcher up to the corner, wanted a brainbuster, Fletcher slipped free into a running boot. He rejoined Takeshita, wanted his Brainbuster, but Takeshita wildly countered into a spinning avalanche DDT and Power Drive Knee for two. Raging Fire connects, but Okada returns with a Rainmaker, only Fletcher shoved him off before the three.

Okada starts toying with Fletcher & Takeshita, who both rise at the same time and ping-pong Okada back and forth to the outside. Fletcher & Takeshita start slugging it out before collapsing, as Okada returned for literal seconds before being sent back out. Takeshita spiked Fletcher with the most violent Blue Thunder Bomb, but as he went to lower the knee pad, Fletcher popped up, hit a Helluva Kick and the wild Avalanche Brainbuster. Okada quickly jumped back in for a Rainmaker on Fletcher, had a split second to choose who to cover, chose Fletcher and won the match and title.

Winner: Kazichuka Okada via Pinfall to become the new AEW International Champion.

Post-match, Okada celebrated with Callis and the International Title, which Fletcher ripped away from him. Callis calmed Fletcher down, whispered something to him, as Fletcher took a long look at the title before handing it to Okada, who ordered Fletcher to raise his hand. The crowd chanted No, but Callis said he’ll do it with him and they both raised Okada’s hands. Excalibur reminded us what was said before the match, Family over everything.

Men’s Casino Gauntlet Match
Andrade El Idolo vs. MJF vs. Nick Wayne vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. Tommaso Ciampa vs. Chris Jericho vs. Mark Davis vs. Komander vs. Mistico vs. Jungle Jack Perry

Andrade El Idolo is #1 & MJF is #2 and they’re immediately in each other’s faces, slugging it out. MJF cuts off a corner double knee and hits his pelvic thrust to the face, which Andrade answered with one of his own, but not before dropping his britches. Tornillo connects outside, as Andrade approaches female fans and gets his traditional selfie, not realizing Nick Wayne was behind him and spiked him with a Poison Rana. Hilariously, Justin Roberts just announced him as #3 and we’re told entrances can happen anytime. MJF said to Wayne if they work together, they can win this thing, he swears on his life. They briefly beat Andrade down, Wayne seemed to buy this, until Speedball Mike Bailey is #4 and Wayne ate rapid fire kicks outside, while he & MJF ate a springboard Sky Twister. Shooting Star Press connects on Wayne for two, as MJF is launched outside, so Bailey & Andrade hit stereo moonsaults on opposing corners outside onto Wayne & MJF.

Both Bailey & Andrade recover and charge, colliding on the floor, as Tommaso Ciampa is #5. He gets half way down the ramp before #6 is Jericho and Ciampa charges up at him, but was quickly dropped by a right hand as the crowd sings along to Judas. Jericho stood tall taking everyone out, until his longtime rival, MJF has a face-off and immediately Jericho sinks in the Walls of Jericho. Mark Davis appears in the ring at #7 and spiked Jericho, Andrade and Bailey with piledrivers, one to Ciampa on top of Bailey, an Awful Waffle on Wayne and finally, MJF tried thanking Davis for helping him, but took a gut-wrench piledriver for two. Komander is #8 (who Justin Roberts said was Mistico, got “You F’d Up” chants and Komander got “Mistico” chants) and quickly hit his rope walk dive onto everyone and Roberts perfectly takes the chance to officially announce Komander to a huge pop, hilarious moment. Rope walk Shooting Star on Ciampa gets a near fall, as the babyfaces take the heels up to all four corners and we get a succession of hurricanranas.

#9 is the actual Mistico and commentary can’t help but giggle, as I’m surprised how many fans in London are singing along to his theme. #10 Daniel Garcia sprinted down the ramp with Marina Shafir to cut off the singing (which Taz thanked him for, saying it sounded like crap) and put the boots to Mistico. Shafir slapped Garcia so hard to hype him up he went loopy, as Mistico hit a dive in the process. Back inside, Mistico & Andrade had a fast sequence, until Wayne charged in, took a head scissors, Ciampa in and was arm-dragged outside. Mistico went up top and hit a dive onto a pile before facing off with Komander, which Taz called Justin Roberts’ Dream Match. Wild La Mistica spiked Komander, but MJF broke up the submission, Mistico tried La Mistica again, only MJF countered into a twisting Tombstone, covered the hands like The Undertaker, for two. Garcia cleared Bailey from the ring and did his old thrusting dance, right into the face of MJF. Garcia tried a piledriver, but Bailey flew in from off camera high with a Shooting Star double knee to Garcia and Collision Course to MJF for two.

Ciampa dodged a thrust kick, bit the bare foot of Bailey and hit the charging knee for a near fall. #11 is Jungle Jack Perry, who wastes no time hitting a huge moonsault off the top onto the pile, Sacrifice Knee to Garcia, dodged a Ciampa knee and sank in Snare Trap on Ciampa. Wayne flew in with a Frog Splash to the back, but Perry responded with a Comeback Lariat. Davis tried an attack, but Perry somehow managed to hit the big man with a piledriver for two. MJF tossed out Perry, but turned around into a missed Andrade back elbow, but Jericho hit Judas Effect for two. Wayne hit a high kick on Jericho and followed with a gnarly Tope Destroyer on Perry outside. Wayne back inside with a Phoenix Splash to the face of Davis for two. Wayne tried to throw a thrust kick to MJF, who blocked it, offered a handshake, kicked Wayne low and hit a Heatseeker. Andrade in with his spinning back elbow and got the pin on Wayne to win the match.

AEW World Tag Team Championship
The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. Cage & Cope (Christian Cage & Adam Copeland) (c)

A career video for The Young Bucks was shown before their entrance, starting from wrestling in their backyard all the way through their accomplishments in AEW, as they embraced their families ringside. Copeland got massive fireworks, as the Wembley crowd sang his theme loudly. Cage & Matt start things for their respective teams, trade shoulder blocks, as Cage avoids a leapfrog and slapped Matt before tagging Copeland. Matt had the boots put to him in the corner, as fast tags from Copeland & Cage, delivering a backbreaker/reverse DDT combo for one. Jawbreaker freed Matt and tagged Nick into a pop-up dropkick, as a do-si-do corner splash and double bulldog saw The Bucks stand tall. Cazadora assisted splash on Cage, as Copeland was caught in a head scissors and caught with a jump kick to the outside. Copeland back in to clean house off a tag, ate a double superkick, leading to The Bucks trying their dive when Matt does the splits over the top and Nick does a dive, only Cage caught him before takeoff and Copeland spiked Matt with a piledriver on the apron.

Matt remained isolated until Cage tried going for his slingshot right hand to the outside, but Nick was there to superkick his head off. Copeland missed a dive into the ropes, allowing Matt to roll through, leap for a tag, only Cage swept out Nick’s legs on the apron. Matt dodged a Copeland Spear attempt, spun through a Cage Killswitch into one of his own. Copeland & Nick tag in legally, as Nick hit a double stomp on Copeland, rolled through into a backstabber on a hung-up Cage in the corner. Slingshot facebuster/moonsault off the apron combo from Nick, who came up limping in the process. The Bucks deliver Risky Business to Copeland for a near fall, as Nick tried a running PK on Cage against the post, Cage moved and Nick kicked the steel. Copeland capitalized quick back inside, targeting the bad leg with a Half Crab. Matt broke it up, backdropped Cage to the floor, made the tag, as Copeland went to charge at him with a Spear on the apron, but Matt leapt off into a somersault Blockbuster on Cage.

Back inside, Cage tried a Tornado DDT, but Matt hit his rolling Northern Lights, grabbing Copeland for the third one as well for a double. Matt is really selling his neck, as Nick calls for a Meltzer Driver, but the bad ankle of Nick saw him crash and burn during takeoff. Referee Rick Knox tended to Nick, so Cage punted Matt and spiked Nick with a Twist of Fate before hitting Matt with a 3D for two. Copeland & Cage went up top with Matt and hit a stalling vertical superplex, but they landed right in position for Nick to manage a 450 Splash on both. Copeland hit an Impaler DDT, but as he charged for a Spear, took a Superkick. The Bucks wanted BTE Trigger on Cage, but Copeland charged for a Spear, only to clip his partner. Matt laid out Copeland with a Spear and Cage with the BTE Trigger, but Copeland broke the count I think using his head.

The Bucks toss Copeland out of the ring, hit another BTE Trigger on Cage, who kicked out, shocking everyone. Nick again signals for a Meltzer Driver, springboards off the top, right into a charging Copeland Spear. Cage spiked Matt with a Killswitch and pop-up Spear from Copeland, but somehow, Matt kicks out and Cage screams a F-Bomb right into camera before grabbing a wrench and Tag Title ringside. He was going to use the title, Knox took it from him, Cage blocked a Nick superkick, smashed the wrench into it. Matt was sent into Knox, pulled up just in time, only Cage caught him with a wrench shot with Knox covered. Another pop-up Spear connects and Cage gets the pin on Matt.

Post-match, The Motor City Machine Guns, Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley, power walk to the ring and have a face-off briefly with Cage & Copeland, until FTR’s music hits and they’re out with Stokely. Cage & Copeland, FTR, Machine Guns & Young Bucks are all in the ring staring one another down to sounds of “Holy Sh*t” until The New Level’s music plays and we get another team to join the party. Cage & Copeland look around at challengers surrounding them before Copeland suggests they leave. “Tag Team Wrestling” chants ring out at Wembley

TNT Championship Falls Count Anywhere Match
Darby Allin vs. “The Jet” Kevin Knight (c)

Knight was out dancing with a group of female dancers, which Schiavone called his favorite entrance of the night so far. Allin attacked right at the bell, but Knight avoided a Coffin Drop and beat down Allin in the corner before he could even get his jacket off. Knight took too long to set-up a table ringside, as Allin flew in with a Tope onto the table into Knight. Allin is already busted open in the back of his head, our first blood of the night, as he vaulted over the ring steps, allowing Knight to launch off the apron with a clothesline. Placing Allin on the announce table, Knight hit a springboard dive from the ring to the table, as he just made it, causing both to bounce and not breaking it. Back inside, Knight chucks in a bunch of chairs, taking way too long, as Allin was able to hit an Avalanche Code Red out of the corner onto the chairs and Allin followed with another into the corner.

Knight is clutching his knee, as Brian Cage & Jake Doyle appear. Cage sets up all the chairs up the backs all facing each other and back drops Allin onto them, as Doyle brought a ladder into the ring. They start taping up Allin’s wrists behind him, until Steven Borden hits the ring with a chair and takes out Cage & Doyle. Knight got cut-off on a springboard, allowing Doyle to mow down Borden. Cage tried an attack, but Borden took him down and hit a high dropkick on Doyle to the outside. Cage hit a thrust kick, placed a table in the corner and powerbombed Borden through it. Hands still behind his back, Allin hit a top rope hurricanrana on Cage and low Tope to Knight outside. Back inside, Cage steamrolled Allin with a clothesline and delivered a suplex from the outside in, pure power, Excalibur reminds us that Brian Cage, is in fact, a Machine. Cage sets Allin up in the Tree of Woe, as Knight went up for the Coast to Coast, but the lights went out.

Seek & Destroy hits and out walks Sting, bat in hand, to a massive ovation. Cage & Doyle take bat shots on the aisle, as Sting gets in the ring, staring down Knight. Allin has gotten free, as Knight cowered in fear from a bat shot, not realizing Sting tossed the bat to Allin. Knight took a bat shot from Allin and stumbled back into a Scorpion Death Drop by Sting. With the help of Borden, they set the ladder up and father & son start climbing and face-off at the top. Sting gives a nod to his son, climbs down and Borden leaps onto the pile from the ring to the floor in a great moment. The Bordens head to the back with Cage & Doyle, as Allin is stalking down Knight, who is frantically crawling up the ramp. Knight dodges multiple bat shots, goes to the eyes, but misses a charge into the steel structure, Allin chokes him out and looks up high, starting to climb and climb…and climb. Allin leaps off with the biggest Coffin Drop of his life, through Knight and the stage. Somehow, Allin crawls up to his feet and Knight is already on a stretcher about to be rolled away, when Allin walks to the top of the stage, tells them to clear out and hits a Coffin Drop off the stage to win the title.

Winner: Darby Allin via Pinfall to become the new TNT Champion.

AEW Women’s World Championship
Mercedes Mone vs. Willow Nightingale (c)

Thekla is shown up in the skybox watching on, as Mone had ballet dancers on stage prior to her entrance. Storybook video for Nightingale’s entrance, saying this isn’t a fairytale, this is Nightingale’s story and only she knows how it ends. She made her entrance with literal cannons on her chest that shot out confetti (well, one did). Bell sounds and Nightingale wastes no time with a cannonball from the apron outside. Back inside, even with the broken hand, hit a cartwheel into a clothesline for two. Mone kicked her from the ring and right to the hand, as she quickly attacked on the floor trying a hurricanrana, only to be caught and swung into the guard rail. Mone is bleeding from the nose back in the ring, pissing her off, as Nightingale hit a front face slam to Mone, who held onto the top turnbuckle so hard it came out of the corner. Mone immediately drove Nightingale into the exposed corner and followed with a Tornado DDT for two. Meteora into the ropes for a Mone near fall as we get dueling chants from Wembley.

Nightingale battled back, tried an Oklahoma Stampede, Mone escaped, but ate a clothesline in the process, as Nightingale continues selling the bad arm. That delay allowed Mone to deliver two of the Three Amigos, as they rolled to the apron and it’s Nightingale who connected on the third, causing both to go splat on the floor. Both just managed to break the count, as Nightingale was able to kick things back into gear inside, with a series of clotheslines and big boot into the potentially broken nose of Mone. Nightingale up to the second, cut-off quickly, Mone joins, locking in a kimura, but on one arm, bodyslammed Mone out of the corner and hit a missile dropkick for two. They go back up to the corner, where Nightingale hits a crazy impressive Spanish Fly for a close near fall. Mone ducked a clothesline and violently snapped Nightingale down into the Statement Maker. Nightingale powered her way up into a nasty Death Valley Driver into the corner.

Brody King-esque barks, but she missed a corner cannonball, allowing Mone to hit her sunset bomb into the corner. Mone mocks the barks, whiffed on a Meteora, as Nightingale got a boot up, went to the top, slipped briefly, but did a moonsault, which Mone tried to roll out of, only to roll the wrong way and unintentionally rolled right into harms way for two. Nightingale tried a Doctor Bomb, Mone held on, drove Nightingale face first into the exposed corner buckle and hit Mone Maker for the closest two of the night. Mone went ballistic on the injured hand and got into referee Aubrey’s face. Nightingale Pounced Mone into Aubrey and all three ladies are down. Both spill outside, where Mone smashes the hand into the commentary table and steps, ripping off the bedazzled covering, snapping at it. Mone held up the Women’s Title, swung it at Nightingale, who kicked out the legs and Mone ran into the steps.

Nightingale waffles Mone repeatedly in the back with the title, back inside hits the Doctor Bomb, there’s no Aubrey (who is still down, despite her legs taking the bump earlier), but she ultimately crawls over for a two count. Pointing to the exposed buckle, Nightingale hit a Buckle Bomb, as she brought Mone up to the corner, wanted an Avalanche Doctor Bomb, which Mone countered into a Super Hurricanrana. Backstabber connects, Mone Maker countered into a backslide for a Nightingale two count. Mone answers with a rising knee, charges, nearly takes another Doctor Bomb, but counters into a Statement Maker, fish-hooking the mouth before cross-facing Nightingale. It seemed like Nightingale was still fighting, she didn’t tap, as the bell sounded and apparently Aubrey called it.

Winner: Mercedes Mone via Referee Stoppage to become the new AEW Women’s World Champion.

Post-match, Mone told Nightingale she’s not smiling anymore and stepped on top of her out of the ring. Commentary says Nightingale went out, but she clearly didn’t.

AEW World Championship
Will Ospreay vs. Kenny Omega (c)

Baba O’Riley (shout-out Tony for clearing this) plays for Ospreay’s opening video package, with his mother talking about how proud she is of her son, against all odds. He has no idea the joy she gets holding two fingers up to those who close doors in his face. Ospreay meets Callum Newman, Francesco Akira & Henare wearing matching United Empire track suits and he makes the final walk as Zack Sabre Jr, Michael Oku & Amira, Ricochet, Swerve Strickland, Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis all give Ospreay nods before Alex Windsor gives her husband a kiss. Ospreay puts his ring jacket on and Jon Moxley is waiting for him at the entrance with the UK flag, nodding in approval with a smirk on his face. This was an all timer of an entrance, as Ospreay made his way to the ring to the biggest ovation of his career. Omega had an excellent history video package to the sounds of You Say Run from My Hero Academia as this has as big of a fight feel as you’ll get, as he’s out with The Young Bucks, Michael Nakazawa & Brandon Cutler.

Chops and forearms right away from both, as Omega hits a shoulder block, Ospreay kips right up, so Omega goes to the eyes. Up and over hurricanrana, Ospreay vaulted out with a high boot that sent Omega reeling outside. Slingshot cross body connects, as back inside, Ospreay wanted Pip, Pip, Cheerio, but was gorilla press slammed and Omega followed with a running face palm slam. Omega keeps it up with chops and zones in on the neck with a Rude Awakening neckbreaker. Omega took the padding off a steel in the corner buckle and stomped Ospreay neck first onto it. Omega tried a suplex from the outside in, but Ospreay fought free and hit Pip, Pip, Cheerio. Kipping up, Ospreay hit his wall walk enzugiri and handspring corkscrew kick to follow for two. Ospreay tried a standing Sky Twister, but Omega got the knees up. Ospreay quickly answered with a Stundog Millionaire, but Omega threw a chop to the neck, hit the first part of You Can’t Escape, only to find himself trapped in the corner and a Cheeky Nandos kick and violent snap of a sunset bomb. Robinson Special connects, as Omega rolls outside, where Ospreay met him with a corkscrew plancha off the top.

They both brawl around ringside, where Omega boots Ospreay, causing him to whiplash into the commentary table. Omega clears off the timekeeper’s table, tries to smash it into Ospreay, who fought it off. Referee Paul Turner tried to get him to stop, was shoved down and when Ospreay turned back, had his head smashed with a camera monitor. Newman got into Omega’s face and we get a shoving match between both the champion & challengers seconds, as referees are out to separate the crew (no one was ejected). Ospreay is bleeding buckets, as Omega brings him up to the commentary table and leaps off it through the other table. Ospreay was laid out right at the feet of McGuinness, who cheered him on, as Ospreay just broke the count, but rolled right into a brutal V-Trigger. Omega pulled Ospreay to the apron and hit a Snap Dragon, folding Ospreay up, as Omega tells the camera that he’s a selfish fool, who friends don’t care about him. The Bucks ramp up the Terminator chants and Omega connects on the dive as the doctor tended to Ospreay and Omega told him don’t you dare stop this.

Back inside, Omega up top for a picture-perfect dropkick off the top to the neck and V-Trigger right to the back in the corner. Omega places Ospreay up in the corner, wanting an Avalanche Snap Dragon, Ospreay fought valiantly, but Omega switched to an Avalanche Croyt’s Wrath for an incredibly close two. Ospreay held on before Omega could try another V-Trigger, so Omega violently drove knees repeatedly into the side and neck. Multiple Snap Dragons connect, as does another knee to the back, as Omega lowers the knee pad, charges, but Ospreay explodes up into a desperation Hidden Blade for the reset. Each slowly rises, as Omega is bleeding from his right eye now, as they trade jabs, until Ospreay rises and throws a battering ram headbutt. Kawada Kicks unleashed by Ospreay, as Omega collapses, Ospreay exposes his boot and kicks Omega square in the face.

Hook kick pops Omega, as does a rolling elbow, as Omega is on spaghetti legs, while Ospreay hit a discus forearm. Omega crumbles and Ospreay started violently throwing forearms to the neck and referee Turner had to back him off (which got boos). They teased a knockout, as they got to 9 and Ospreay threw a Hidden Blade for two. Omega fought off Tiger Driver into a ripcord V-Trigger. Omega tried a home run lariat, Ospreay flipped out into a powerbomb high stack, but rolled back into a Styles Clash for a near fall. Ospreay wanted a OsCutter, but was caught with an Omega knee in mid-air. They slowly rise to throw more jabs and forearms, crowd booing every Omega shot and cheering Ospreay. Two V-Triggers hit, Poison Rana to follow, but Ospreay stood tall. Both a head of steam, until a charging V-Trigger trucked Ospreay, as the Tiger Driver 91 silenced the crowd. Omega hits a home run V-Trigger, then spikes Ospreay with a One-Winged Angel, but somehow, Ospreay kicks out the crowd is righfully losing their minds.

McGuinness said Ospreay is willing to give his life, which is what Danielson said he’s afraid of. Omega signals for one more V-Trigger, which connects flush, as he goes for another One-Winged Angel, which Ospreay escaped into an incredibly scary Tiger Driver of his own and thankfully Omega is moving. Danielson says that’s scarier than the one even he took, as both got up, Ospreay swung and just collapsed, as Omega is having little movement in his left arm. Knees continue to crumble Ospreay, who finally blocks one, throws palm strikes, slips out of One-Winged Angel into one of his own, but Omega kicked out at one. Both up, Ospreay took Omega’s head off with a Hidden Blade and Storm Breaker, but again, Omega is out at one. Ospreay slowly lowered the shoulder pad, signaled for the killshot and waffled Omega with one final Hidden Blade to win the title in an epic.

Winner: Will Ospreay via Pinfall to become the new AEW World Champion.
