AJ Lee WWE Abscense & Potential Return Plans Status Update

AJ Lee has been absent from WWE since her loss to Becky Lynch for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship at this past April’s WrestleMania 42 event.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that they believe Lee has not had her last match for her wrestling career.

It was reported that those spoken to within WWE creative stated that they had not heard of Lee being planned to be involved in the storyline involving The Bella Twins turning on Paige at SummerSlam 2026 despite online speculation and rumors.

It was also reported that the talent involved in the storyline have not been told what was the original plans for it prior to Brie Bella suffering a broken scapula injury.
