This past Friday’s Death Before Dishonor 2026 event for Ring of Honor featured Athena defeating Hazuki to retain the ROH Women’s World Championship. This match was notable for Athena laying on the ground at ringside for a while as Billie Starkz and Diamante attended to her with concerned looks on their faces.
In response to a recent clip posted by a fan online, Athena revealed on Twitter that she had actually suffered an asthma attack during her match and thanked the AEW and ROH staff for their quick response.
“Yeah…. so ….had an asthma attack mid match…. glad my minions had my back!!! A major thank you to @aew @ringofhonor staff for the quick response… keeping the #ForeverROHChamp in peak condition”
