Backstage Update on Britt Baker’s Return At AEW All In 2026 & Lengthy Abscense From AEW

As noted before, Sunday’s AEW All In 2026 event at Wembley Stadium in London, England featured Britt Baker making her surprise return. Baker aligned with Persephone after costing Maya World the TBS Championship at the event. This was Baker’s first appearance in AEW since November of 2024.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Baker’s return to AEW was something that came together very late.

Baker reportedly did not travel to London with the rest of the AEW roster and instead didn’t arrive until Sunday morning. Baker reportedly arrived at Wembley after call time for talent.

In regards to Baker’s lengthy abscense from AEW, those close to Baker reportedly stated that she took herself off the road in 2024.

Those spoken to reportedly stated that there had been multiple overtures towards an AEW return during Baker’s abscense and she had been open to returning earlier but it didn’t happen for reasons currently not known. It was reported that these overtures picked up around the time of the announcement of the upcoming special Rebel Heart themed AEW Dynamite show on September 9 in Athens, Georgia.
