As noted before, WWE recently signed a new partnership deal with SiriusXM for the launch of a new WWE Radio channel this past July on the service. This new radio channel replaced the existing Pro Wrestling Nation 24/7 channel which features Busted Open Radio and several other wrestling-related podcast and radio shows and now also carries WWE-related podcast shows. Busted Open Radio’s main host Dave LaGreca had claimed this past July that nothing would change in regards to the podcast under the WWE Radio umbrella despite Thunder Rosa being dropped as a host from the show shortly after the announcement and AEW talk on the show becoming non-existent since the channel’s rebranding.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that WWE officials current approach for Busted Open Radio on WWE Radio is for them to be hands-off and stay out of any influence on the show.
WWE officials reportedly currently view Busted Open Radio similar to NFL Radio where that show discusses NFL issues but the NFL itself doesn’t tell the hosts what to say.
