As noted before, WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green suffered a broken orbital bone injury during her tag team match with Tiffany Stratton against Fatal Influence for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at this past Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Bryan Alvarez reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources stated that Green suffered the injury after Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid had accidentally botched their double team Fatal Flaw finisher to her. Those spoken to reportedly stated that Green broke her orbital bone after Reid had accidentally landed on Green’s head during the move.
Alvarez reported that it is currently not known how long Green will be out of action due to her injury but her status should be known in a couple of days. Alvarez also speculated that Green might be able to wrestle with a protective mask on her face but it is also possible that she might have to vacate her title as well depending on how long she will be out.
Alvarez also reported that those spoken to within wrestling had stated that Fallon and Reid’s double team finisher was not a good move and it is possible that they could end up getting a new finishing move due to somebody got badly injured from it.
