Deonna Purrazzo Reveals She Suffered Asthma Attack During 2024 CMLL Match

In recent response to a person on Twitter comparing the negative online reception of Eddie Kingston’s poor performance during his match against Hechicero for the CMLL World Heavyweight title at this past Friday’s CMLL Super Viernes show to Deonna Purrazzo’s infamous match against La Catalina in December of 2024, Purrazzo revealed that she had suffered an asthma attack during the match.

This person stated “This Eddie Kingston Arena Mexico disaster class will be talked about for a long time. Deonna Purrazzo level bad outing out of that guy. Wow.” Purrazzo responded stating:

“You mean the “bad outing” where I had an asthma attack during the entire 15 min match?

I’ve been punished for 2 years.

This person responded back stating “Very sorry to hear about the asthma attack. As a fan watching the match live and was excited to see said match, I thought it was a bad outing watching from home, I think its a fair criticism of it.” Purrazzo responded back stating:

“It’s absolutely fair to criticize the match. But 2 years later, continuing to relate every “bad” match to one person and one experience is unfair and just plain cruel.

You don’t have to enjoy me as a performer. But you must understand how repeating a narrative like that can shape someone’s perception and career.”

This person responded back again doubling down on his stance stating “Which i have since made a correction to myself” and posted another tweet that stated “Its been brought to my attention I should have included Chris Jericho in this tweet as well when it comes to incredibly bad AEW rep matches in Arena Mexico. Very big misfire on my end.”

Purrazo responded back again stating “So, you’re just a piece of shit. Got it.”
