As noted before, Ilja Dragunov’s contract with WWE recently expired and is currently a free agent following his departure from the company. Dragunov and WWE officials were unable to come to terms for a potential new deal due to both sides being too far apart and WWE making the decision to no longer use Dragunov this past April.
Fightful Select reported that their sources spoken to within AEW stated that they had not yet heard about Dragunov coming to their company.
It was reported that Dragunov could appear as soon as AEW wanted due to his current status as a free agent.
Those spoken to within the wrestling industry stated that they currently expect Dragunov to land in AEW but that was considered more as hunch as opposed to a firm belief.
