TNA Wrestling announced two new matches for the card of Lockdown 2026, which takes place on August 23 at the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
This new match announced was a TNA X-Division Championship Steel Cage match of Leon Slater vs. Cedric Alexander (c). It was also announced that this match features a special stipulation that if Slater loses, then his record tying X-Division title reign would be erased from the TNA record books.

The second new match announced was a Lethal Lockdown match of The System (Brian Myers, Bear Bronson, Eddie Edwards, & Alisha Edwards) vs. Ricky Sosa, KC Navarro, Fabian Aichner, & Jada Stone.
