YOSHI-HASHI, El Desperado, Ryusuke Taguchi, & Masatora Yasuda vs. HOUSE OF TORTURE (Yujiro Takahashi, DOUKI, SHO, & Yoshinobu Kanemaru)

Taguchi remained the only member of his team in the ring after the usual House of Torture beatdown, when YOSHI-HASHI flattened Kanemaru with a DDT. Taguchi returned the favor for his partner, stopping SHO and DOUKI from pressing their boots into YOSHI-HASHI’s ribs. YOSHI-HASHI reversed SHO’s brainbuster. Desperado quelled a DOUKI and SHO offensive with a slam to the former. The babyface team ran a train on DOUKI, resulting in Yasuda executing a dropkick. The Young Lion slipped into a Rolling Boston Crab, broken by a headshot from SHO’s black mirror. Adorning Yasuda’s skull in Mistico’s mask, SHO allowed DOUKI to tap Yasuda out with a Darkness Stretch.

Winner: HOUSE OF TORTURE via Submission.

Most Violent Players (Toru Yano & Togi Makabe) vs. United Empire (Francesco Akira & Zane Jay)

Makabe readily handled Jay to allow Yano an opening. Unfortunately for Yano, this fell flat after Akira denied him the chance to remove the turnbuckle pad, which is Yano’s wont. Thanks to Makabe, Akira’s clobbering of Yano would come to an end when Yano dropped the Italian’s pelvis onto his knee.

Jay pulverized Makabe to secure an SOS Slam, but missed an elbow drop. Yano slingshotted Jay’s neck off the top rope, bouncing him into Makabe’s King Kong Lariat. Makabe sent United Empire packing when he landed a King Kong Knee Drop on Jay.

Winner: Most Violent Players via Pinfall.

Tatsuya Matsumoto, Boltin Oleg, & Master Wato vs TMDK (Zack Sabre Jr., Kosei Fujita, & Hartley Jackson)

Matsumoto fired off like a bullet, whalloping Fujita, earning a comeuppance in an eyepoke and kick to the midsection. Wato avenged his partner with a dropkick to a full-speed Fujita. Sabre returned the favor of the match to TMDK with a series of uppercuts. Countering Wato’s hurricanrana into an Ankle Lock, Sabre tossed Wato to the sturdy Jackson.

Opting to go low on the Australian beefcake, Wato dropkicked Jackson’s knees and shins. The unstoppable force met the immovable object when Boltin walked out of a collision with Jackson to land a Flying Body Sausage. Jackson retaliated with a flying crossbody and senton. Irate at Sabre’s subsequent punts to the chest, Boltin laid him flat twice with shots to the chest. Evoking his unbridled power, Boltin shook off Sabre’s triangle hold with a single-arm powerbomb.

Matsumoto struggled to match Fujita beat-for-beat, yet he managed a scoop slam. Boltin rescued the Young Lion from Fujita with a Boltin Shake, kickstarting everyone spamming their signature moves. TMDK kept Matsumoto isolated as Fujita drained him unconscious with a Guillotine Choke.

Winner: TMDK via Referee Stoppage.

Unbound Co. (Knockout Brothers (Yuto-Ice & OSKAR) & Daiki Nagai) vs United Empire (Great-O-Khan, HENARE, & Callum Newman)

An explosive start with HENARE and Ice bouncing elbows off each other’s chins. HENARE took advantage of Khan preventing Ice’s Bomboclat with a senton. Meanwhile, Khan hurled OSKAR into waves of chairs in the front row. HENARE and Khan went berserk in the corner, the latter taking a bite out of Ice’s forehead.

Newman ground his knuckle into Ice’s bosom and stepped on it. The torment didn’t end for Ice, as Khan pulverized his shoulders with Mongolian Chops. OSKAR’s hot tag saw him step to HENARE and Khan with chops. HENARE absorbed chops, but could not stop a huge powerslam from the gargantuan German. Newman peppered OSKAR with a flurry of fists and kicks.

Nagai shocked the Tokyo crowd, using the air from Newman’s throw to drop the Brit with a DDT. Newman cut off Nagai’s extremely nuclear movement with a Kiss the Crown and Make Way to get the win.

Winner: United Empire via Pinfall.

Post-match: Ice and OSKAR posed with Khan and HENARE’s IWGP Tag Team Championship when Togi Makabe and Toru Yano brawled with them to the back. Unsatisfied with his victory, Newman battered Nagai without a single ounce of remorse. Newman, for some reason, pulled out a sword, which justifiably horrified Nagai.

Gedo told Newman to calm down, or else someone would fix his attitude. Out came Jeff Cobb, months out of his failed WWE stint as JC Mateo. Cobb posed with Gedo to solidify his alliance with Unbound Co.

War Dragons (Drilla Moloney & Shingo Takagi) vs. Death Riders (Gabe Kidd & Wheeler Yuta)

Kidd and Moloney resumed their emotional confrontation from August 15, with the latter careening the former into the barricade with a dropkick. Yuta sent Takagi into some chairs while Kidd piledrove Moloney into the stairs. Takagi collapsed after a heated exchange and a loud elbow strike from Kidd. Paying homage to Death Rider Claudio Castagnoli, Kidd dizzied Takagi with a Giant Swing.

Unleashing the Dangerous Driver on Kidd saved Takagi. Kidd caught Moloney’s Gore, subverting it into a brainbuster. Moloney swung a comeback with a Death Valley Driver. Kidd’s Tombstone Piledriver and Yuta’s Rocket Launcher quaked Takagi’s midsection. Takagi and Moloney left Yuta in shambles with a War Dragon. A Pumping Bomber, Drilla Killa, and Last of the Dragon paved the way for Takagi to pin Yuta.

Winner: War Dragons via Pinfall.

Post-match: Kidd posed with his IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship to entice Moloney to further pursue the belt.

Konosuke Takeshita, Taichi, & Satoshi Kojima vs. HOUSE OF TORTURE (Shun Skywalker, Ren Narita, & SANADA)

Kojima, Taichi, and Takeshita were ready for House of Torture’s shenanigans, as they unloaded on Narita; Kojima paid tribute to Hiroyoshi Tenzan with Mongolian Chops. Narita got the better of Taichi as he and Skywalker distracted the referee to permit House of Torture to assault him outside. Skywalker choked Taichi in the corner, leaving SANADA free to pummel and dropkick him.

Takeshita awkwardly flung Narita outside with a hurricanrana. SHO and Skywalker exposed Takeshita for Dick Togo’s patented Dick-to-Dick Contact. Takeshita rocked Narita with an exploder suplex. Kojima rained down chops on Skywalker in the corner. Everyone traded finishers, and when the dust settled, Takeshita crashed Skywalker down with a Blue Thunderbomb. Kojima picked up steam until Kanemaru sprayed whiskey in his eyes. Skywalker capitalized with a Standing Moonsault Knee Drop to end the match.

Winner: HOUSE OF TORTURE via Pinfall.

Post-match: House of Torture posed over Kojima’s carcass; Taichi chased them off with a chair, with Takeshita not far behind. SANADA and Taichi brawled while Skywalker grinned in the match’s aftermath.

YOH & Hirooki Goto vs. Unbound Co. (Yota Tsuji & Taiji Ishimori)

Goto and YOH subdued Tsuji, battering his back with fists. Ishimori twisted YOH’s neck with his ankles. YOH earned his revenge with a Dragon Screw Leg Whip. Goto trounced Tsuji’s reign of dominance with a GTR and a lariat. An Ushigoroshi and a Falcon Arrow by Goto and YOH, respectively, rocked Ishimori. Another Ushigoroshi kept Tsuji out of the picture.

Ishimori’s Bloody Cross followed a La Mistica and Bone Lock to pin YOH for the 3-count.

Winner: Unbound Co. via Pinfall.

In-Ring: Hiroshi Tanahashi

The Ace and President of NJPW announced the fan votes awarded to Oleg Boltin, Ryohei Oiwa, and Yuto-Ice. He then declared that he and Hiroyoshi Tenzan would join Japanese commentary for the night.

G1 Climax 2026 Finals Match
Ryohei Oiwa vs. Yuya Uemura

Uemura grappled for a side headlock, returning to it quickly each time Oiwa broke it. Oiwa grabbed one of his own and used the subsequent opening for a senton. Uemura targeted Oiwa’s arms next, torquing on the shoulders in particular. With control over the wrist, Uemura kept dragging Oiwa down, twisting his left arm in his leg while Oiwa kept trying to slap life into the strained limb. Oiwa’s headscissors finally snatched Uemura, halting an arm drag in the process.

Holding a cravat, Oiwa’s submission would be challenged by several more arm drags from Uemura. Using his ankles, Uemura twisted Oiwa’s mighty left arm. Oiwa recovered with a Doctor Bomb, giving him a much-needed second wind. Both wrestlers traded German suplexes, with Uemura’s Dragon suplex resulting in a close 2-count. Oiwa applied a Big Lock that survived a back suplex. Just when it seemed he was at death’s door, Uemura slipped out, hit an enzuigiri, a Deadbolt, and a Flying Elbow.

Oiwa reunited with his Big Lock. Uemura wriggled out, securing a Cross Arm. The Grip struck twice; neither lariat did the job. Temporarily, Oiwa struggled to break Uemura’s wrist control; a Tenzan suplex did the trick. Employing The Grip, Oiwa couldn’t capitalize due to his arm’s overwhelming pain. Once more, bringing out the Big Lock, Oiwa submitted Uemura in the center of the ring. Ryohei Oiwa is the winner of NJPW G1 Climax 36.

Winner: Ryohei Oiwa via Submission to become the winner of the 2026 G1 Climax tournament.

Post-match: Oiwa ended the night thanking the fans and TMDK, proud of his G1 Climax victory. He declared he’d challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in October at Ryogoku Kokugikan at King of Pro-Wrestling.
