This past Monday’s WWE RAW show in Buffalo, New York featured an in-ring promo segment involving Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Oba Femi to setup Breakker and Femi’s match at this September’s WWE’s Sunday Night’s Main Event show. This segment was notable for Heyman saying that WWE is the “biggest promotion in the world” and they just don’t give away big matches impromptu because they don’t answer to the fans and instead they listen to the shareholders.
Heyman’s line was viewed by some people online as being a dig against AEW and the company’s booking giving away high profile matches on AEW television.
Ricochet responded earlier today on Twitter stating that AEW is the greatest promotion in the world and that the company answers to their fans because they are the ones who deserve it.
“We’re the Greatest Wrestling company in the world. So no we don’t answer to “Share Holders” we answer to OUR fans.
Because they’re the ones who deserve it. 🤷🏽♂️ 👌🏽”
