Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his source stated that The Young Bucks’ (Matt & Nick Jackson) current contracts with AEW could be the last for their in-ring wrestling careers.
Meltzer reported that besides Hangman Adam Page, he is not sure how much longer the rest of The Elite will be wrestling. Meltzer reported that Page, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks are pretty much all set for life and have made a lot of money during their wrestling careers. Meltzer also reported that Matt Jackson had considered stopping at one point during his time in AEW.
Meltzer reported that those spoken to stated that there have been discussions that this might be the last contract for The Young Bucks’ wrestling careers. Meltzer also reported that this will be one of those ‘we’ll see what happens” type situations when their deals are up due to how many people “always say that and then there’s so much money thrown at you afterwards to stay, so you always do.”
Meltzer speculated that Page will probably still wrestle for many more years due to him being the youngest out of everyone in The Elite.
The Young Bucks are currently scheduled to face off against Cage & Cope (Christian Cage & Adam Copeland) for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at AEW All In 2026.
