Ricky Sosa vs. Brian Myers

Sosa has been working his way through members of The System, who don’t like him because they think he’s just a flash in the pan who doesn’t deserve the accolades he’s been getting. Meyers is “the most grizzled veteran in the TNA locker room” according to commentary, and I honestly don’t know if they think that or if they are taking a shot at him. Or the locker room.

Meyers started the match by throwing his t-shirt in Sosa’s face. That set Sosa off and he scoop slammed Meyers before dropping a senton. He went for a running uppercut, but Meyers dodged it and rolled out of the ring. Meyers was waiting for him and he dropped Sosa on the apron while Bronson distracted the ref.

Meyers threw Sosa back in and stomped him, and then my streaming service just straight up stopped working. By the time I sorted it out, Leon Slater had joined Sosa in the ring and Cedric Alexander had joined Bronson and Meyers. From what I was able to surmise, Sosa won the match.

Winner: Ricky Sosa via Pinfall.

After the match, Slater and Alexander started jawing about having a match at Lockdown. Alexander said his one condition for giving Slater his match would be this: If Alexander wins, then Slater’s near-record-breaking run with the X-Division title (he came one day short of being the longest reigning champion when he lost it to Alexander) would be erased from the record books. Slater accepted and the match for Lockdown was set.

Backstage: Rich Swann, BDE

Backstage, Rich Swann and BDE were interviewed about their mystery partner tonight. It was declared that it could be ANYONE but Jason Hotch. Swann said that Mustafa Ali thinks that he controls everything, but he don’t. BDE chimed in saying that their partner tonight has wanted a shot at Ali for a long time. Swann said that they would reveal the partner soon.

Video: AJ Francis, Elijah

Back from break, AJ Francis was in the studio recording a track. He went to play a new track for everyone, but all that was heard was Elijah’s guitar strum. Elijah appeared in the control room and told Francis that at Lockdown, there would only be a steel cage and judgement. Not everyone who walks with Elijah lives to tell the story. Francis tried to get out of the vocal booth, but found it locked. Everything flashed and the regular producer was there, presumably looking for the Warrior in a mirror.

In-Ring: Moose, Frankie Kazarian

Next up, Moose came to the ring dressed as Frakie Kazarian for his “Face of The Franchise” speech. Moose made fun of the outfit he stole from Kazarian’s locker and started throwing his scarf and glasses to the audience. Moose said that he had some guests for his speech tonight and they were the audience.

He asked them a series of questions (the answers were all “Moose!”) with the last being “Who’s gonna beat Frankie Kazarian’s ass at Lockdown?” The answer was “Moose.” But that brought Kazarian out to tell everyone they and this segment are stupid. Kazarian then tried the same schitck, but asking the audience to answer “King.” They refused and answered “Moose” to all of his questions.

Kazarian said that the difference between he and Moose is that Kaz ia royalty and Moose is a failed football player. Kazarian then insulted [LOCAL EATERY]’s food and the crowd booed. Moose said that he was going to have to punch Kazarian in the face for such transgressions.

Kazarian then brought up Moose’s family and got five across the eyes for it. Moose went for a spear, but Kazarian dodged it and grabbed a stool. He swing it wildly until Moose laid him out with a spear and security came down to pull them apart.

Six-Man Tag Team Match
Order 4 (Mustafa Ali, Special Agent Zero, & John Skyler) vs. Rich Swann, BDE, & Trey Miguel

Everyone was on the edge of their, or someone else’s, seat as we waited to find out who Swann and BDE’s partner would be… It’s Trey Miguel, everyone. Trey Miguel. So that satisfies the “not Jason Hotch” stipulation. Miguel was last seen at Rebellion in April where he broke his knee in a match against Ali, so he has a score to settle in his return.

Ali immediately tagged out to start the match, sending Skyler in to deal with Miguel. Swann tagged in and Miguel set up Skyler for a triple team. Agent 0 tagged in and they continued the three-on-one assault, sending him to the outside. Ali tried to come back in, but Miguel kicked him back out of the ring while Swann and BDE danced.

Back from a commerical, Ali had Swann ready for a powerbomb, but Swan countered it and knocked Ali to the mat. Ali made a tag to Skyler and Swann got one to Miguel who scrambled up for a missile dropkick. Ali tagged back in and Miguel hit him with a rolling Trey. Skyler hopped in and things started breaking down.

Agent 0 sent Swann into the mat head first then double choke slammed Swann and BDE. Miguel hit him with an insiguri though and sent Agent 0 into the ring post before DDT’ing Ali on the outside. Back in the ring Miguel hit a lightning spiral on Skylar and got the pin to win his return match.

Winner: Rich Swann, BDE, & Trey Miguel via Pinfall.

After the match, Agent 0 hit a choke bomb on Miguel and Ali insisted he do it again, but Jason Hotch flew down to the ring and chased Ali and Agent 0 out of the ring. They yelled at each other as the segment came to a close.

Backstage: Xia Brookside

Backstage, Knockouts champion Xia Brookside yelled at her makeup person. That was it. That was the whole thing.

Backstage: Xia Brookside, Elayna Black

Back from break, we picked up where we left off with Brookside’s makeup person finishing the job, with horrifying results. It was then revealed that the makeup person was Elayna Black in disguise. So Brookside beat her up about it.

TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament Semifinal Round Match
M By Elegance vs. Indi Hartwell

M received a bye into these semifinals because Wendy Choo vs Elayna Black went to a time limit draw. Hartwell defeated Thea Hail to move into the semi’s.

Hartwell clotheslined M and sent her into the corner. M came out swinging and chopped Hartwell into the ropes. M dropkicked Hartwell and then Hartwell came back with a bulldog. Hartwell went up top, but M managed to knock her down before she could get set up.

Hartwell dangeled from the ringpost in perfect position for M to kick her in the face. Hartwell fell to the outside and M stomped her, then chopped her against the apron. M suplexed Hartwell on the outside while Mr Elegance shone brightly in the background.

M sent Hartwell back into the ring for a cover, but Hartwell kicked out. M continued the beatdown, bouncing Hartwell’s head off the turnbuckle. M drove some knees into Hartwell’s gut, then stretched her arms around her back. M went for a crossbody, but Hartwell dodged it and clotheslined her. Hartwell hit a spine buster for a two count.

Hartwell dropped an elbow from the top rope but could only get a two count. She big booted M to the outside and then knocked her noggin off the apron. Suddenly, the Black/Brookside Brawl spilled out to ringside. It caused a distraction that let M hit Hartwell with a moonsault and pick up the win to inch us closer to an all-Elegance final.

Winner: M By Elegance via Pinfall.

Next week, Heather by Elegance takes on Jada Stone for the other spot in the finals.

Video: Harley Hudson

A Harley Hudson vignette played next, chronicling her move from the UK to the US to join TNA. She cried, I cried, we all cried. Next week, Hudson faces Alisha Edwards to prove to Daria Rae she belongs in TNA.

Back from break, Moose was found knocked out backstage. He actually looked quite peaceful, so it might have been a nap. Either way, no one knew what happened, or did anything to find out or help/wake up Moose.

Eddie Edwards vs. KC Navarro

Edwards and the System interrupted a Navarro promo because, well, they’re jerks. Navarro took this personally and now he and Edwards are going to fight about it. Navarro’s family was shown at ringside to back him up (watch grandma, she’s feisty).

Right off the bell, Navarro superkicked Edwards and laid him out with a 305. He went for the blessing in disguise, but Edwards rolled out of the ring. Navarro dove onto him and threw him back into the ring for a frog splash and a two count.

Navarro went to charge at Edwardsk, but Alisha Edwards grabbed his ankle. That was enough of an opening for Edwards to grab Navarro and send him into three out of four ringposts. Edwards slowed it down and put on a sleeper, but Navarro got to his feet. Edwards went for a backpack stunner, but Navarro saw it coming and countered it into a DDT.

Alisha threw her shoe into the ring to distract the ref, which allowed Edwards to grab a kendo stick. Navarro took it away from him through, clocked Edwards with it and hit a Blessing in Disguise just in time for the ref to return and count 1-2-3.

Match Result: KC Navarro defeated Eddie Edwards

After the match, the System crashed the ring with Meyers bringing in a chair. Bronson set it up around Navarro’s neck and Edwards went up top, but then Fabian Aichner, Jada Stone, and Ricky Sosa and came down to run them off. Director of Authority Santino Marella then arrived and made a Lethal Lockdown match: Bronson, Meyers, Eddie and Alisha Edwards vs Aichner, Stone, Sosa and Navarro.

Back from break, Allie continued her search for her tag team partner Rosemary. She was unsuccessful, but did come across “the struggle is real” written on a mirror.

TNA World Championship
Jeff Hardy vs. Nic Nemeth (c)

Nemeth has actually never pinned Hardy in a singles match anywhere they’ve faced off. Matt hardy and Ryan Nemeth were banned from ringside for this match as well.

TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth’s entrance happened off-camera and as the bell rang they locked up. Nemeth got Hardy’s arm behind his back and twisted, but Hardy reversed it and went for an eary twist of fate. Nemeth evaded that and went for a rollup, but Hardy kicked out.

Nemeth caught Hardy with a dropkick sending him sprawling. Hardy got to his feet and introduced Nemeth’s head to the turnbuckles. Nemeth snuck in a kick and dragged Hardy’s face along the ropes. He raked the eyes and whipped Hardy into the corner. Nemeth started strutting, which allowed Hardy to dropkick him out of the ring and nail him with a flying elbow from the apron.

Back from break, Nemeth dropped a leaping elbow on Hardy for two. Nemeth then moved to a headlock and went back to raking the eyes. Nemeth continued taking pot shots at Hardy until Hardy dodged a charge and Nemeth crotched himself on the turnbuckle. Hardy started throwing hands and hit an atomic drop into a leg drop.

Nemeth got to his feet and Hardy went for a Spinal Destination submission, but Nemeth poked the eyes again to break the hold. Nemeth hit a leaping DDT, but Hardy wasn’t done yet. Nemeth went for a leap, but Hardy caught him in midair for a powerbomb and a two count.

Hardy hit a twist of fate and then went for a follow up but Nemeth caught him with a superkick. He went for the cover, but Hardy got his hand on the ropes to break the count. Nemeth went for Danger Zone, but HArdy countered it into a cutter. Hardy went up top and landed a perfect swanton, but Nemeth kicked out of the cover.

Nemeth countered a twist of fate attempt into a danger zone and pinned Hardy 1-2-3 for the first time in his career.

Winner: Nic Nemeth via Pinfall to retain the TNA World Championship.
