Tony Khan on Reports of AEW Would Have To Tone Down Pyro At AEW All In 2026, His Plans To Continue To Bring AEW Events To England, & He Would Have Supported Adam Copeland Having One Last Match Against John Cena In WWE If He Was Asked

Metro held a recent interview with AEW CEO Tony Khan. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts about the recent reports about AEW having to tone down their usage of pyro for their upcoming All In 2026 event at Wembley Stadium due to wildfire risks and warnings in the London area.

“That’s the first I’ve heard of any of that, so I can’t speculate.”

Khan also gave his thoughts about how he wants to continue bringing AEW events to England.

“I really believe that the English wrestling fans have been instrumental in growing the worldwide popularity of AEW, and London may be the very best city for AEW, so I absolutely will continue bringing AEW here to London, and also I look forward to visiting other cities in England. We debuted in Manchester last year. I think there are more opportunities to visit all the great cities around the UK, because there are so many great wrestling fans here in the United Kingdom.”

Khan also gave his thoughts about Adam Copeland’s recent comments about him believing that he would have been given approval from AEW and Khan to have one last match with John Cena in WWE during Cena’s retirement tour in 2025.

“I was never asked, and as far as I know, Adam was never asked, so it’s hard to say. But when there have been opportunities to collaborate, I have been collaborative in the pas. I never got asked, but if I had been presented a plan and the dates and the information of what was going on, yeah, I would have supported it.”
