AAA Triplemania 43 Reportedly Was Initially Planned As One Night Event & Reason for Decision for Las Vegas Show

Lucha Libre AAA is currently scheduled to be holding this year’s Triplemania 34 event as a two-night event on September 11 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and on September 13 at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE and AAA officials had originally planned for this year’s Triplemania 34 to just be a one night event.

It was reported that the decision to split this year’s event into two nights was due to WWE executives hoping to attract network executives that will be in Las Vegas for the Zuffa Boxing event on September 12 for their AAA promotion.

Eddie Kingston Issues Challenge To Hechicero For CMLL World Heavyweight Title

This past Wednesday’s CMLL Informa show featured Eddie Kingston making a surprise appearance.

During the show, a video aired featuring Kingston issuing a challenge to Hechicero for his CMLL World Heavyweight Championship. Kingston stated that his goal is to become a champion in CMLL after already having held gold in AEW, NJPW, and Ring of Honor. Kingston also told Hechicero to face him one-on-one and leave the Don Callis Family out of it.

This past Wednesday’s CMLL Informa show featured CMLL announcing that this year’s Noche de Campeones event will be taking place on September 25 at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico.

It was reported that a portion of Homer Street at Given Avenue near Treadwell Middle School has been officially renamed to “Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler Street.”

As noted before, Dave Bautista, former Batista in WWE, has been in talks with Amazon MGM to replace Ryan Hurst for the role of Kratos in the upcoming new God of War series. Variety reported that Bautista recently signed an official deal to join the cast of the upcoming new God of War series and portray the role of Kratos.
