Blake Monroe Comments on Her Not Making Her Advertised In-Ring Debut at 8/21 WWE SmackDown Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Toronto, Ontario, Canada featured a segment involving Blake Monroe attacking Giulia prior to the start of their match resulting in the match being thrown out. This match was notable for WWE had advertised it as being the official in-ring debut for Monroe on the main roster and SmackDown brand.

Following the segment, WWE released a digital exclusive backstage video featuring Monroe giving her thoughts about not making her advertised SmackDown in-ring debut on the show and her wanting a match with Interim WWE Women’s Chelsea Green instead.

“That’s not my debut. I didn’t wait four months getting called up to SmackDown, and I didn’t wait nine years to make it to the WWE to have my debut like that. I’m World Championship material. So you find Chelsea Green, you bring her to me, and then you get The Glamour. Until then, get out my face.”

Joe Hendry Reportedly Filming New WWE Project

Joe Hendry has been noticeably absent from WWE television since his quick squash loss to Bron Breakker at the August 3rd episode of WWE RAW in Des Moines, Iowa.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Hendry has been working on a new project for WWE’s partnership with ReelShort for the reason for his current abscense.

Hendry reportedly is filming a role in a live-action microdrama that will be released on mobile platforms at a future date.

It is currently not known when Hendry will be making a return to WWE television.

Solo Sikoa & LA Knight Appearances Announced for Aug. 24th WWE RAW Show

WWE announced one new segment for the card of next week’s WWE RAW show on August 24 at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

This upcoming show will be airing at an earlier than usual start time of 6PM EST on Netflix.

The new segment announced was Solo Sikoa and LA Knight to make an appearance on the show.
