Rey Fenix & Dragon Lee Advances in WWE World Heavyweight Title #1 Contender Tournament

Monday’s WWE RAW show at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York featured two First Round matches in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contender’s tournament.

The first match was Rey Fenix defeated El Fiscal.

The second match was Dragon Lee defeating El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.

As a result of their victories, Fenix will be facing off against Lee in the Semifinal Round of the WWE World Heavyweight #1 Contender’s tournament at next week’s show.

Oba Femi vs. Bron Breakker Announced for Sept. 6th WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event Show

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured one new match set for the card of WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event show, which takes place on September 9 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

This new match announced was a singles match of Oba Femi vs. Bron Breakker.

This new match was intially setup over recent weeks shows over Breakker demanding to know who is the real future mega star of WWE and him confronting Paul Heyman several times over this question. During tonight’s show, Breakker came out to the ring and called out Femi saying if he wants to be the future of the place for him to come take it from him right now.

This led to Heyman coming out and did his usual introduction routine. Heyman stated that he was an advocate, he is an oracle, and he is a wise man. Heyman continued stating that there arre things that are wise to do and things that are unwise to do and it is very wise for them to think about the question that is on everyone’s mind and that is who is the future. Breakker asked Heyman who he thinks is the future. This led to Femi’s music playing and came out to the ring.

Femi grabbed a microphone and told Breakker that he is asking stupid questions but he already knows who the future is. Femi continued stating that Bron knows it, he knows it, the fans know it, and Brock Lesnar knows who the future is. Femi stated that the future is Oba Femi and if you have a problem with the answer, you can take it up with him any day, any time. Breakker responded stating “right here, right now.” This led to Heyman responding and told Breakker that if he takes one step towards Femi, he takes a permanent step away from him. Heyman talked about how this is a publicly traded company and this is the biggest promotion on the face of the planet. Heyman continued stating they don’t just answer to the people live and at home, they answer to share holders and when two main eventers are standing in the ring, you don’t do an impromptu match to decide who the future is. After some more words, Heyman stated that he talked with RAW GM Adam Pearce and got a match made between Breakker and Femi made official for WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event show in Breakker’s hometown of Atlanta to determine who is the future of WWE.

Breakker gave a pleased reaction and shook Heyman’s hand before the two left the ring and Breakker looked on at Femi in the ring as he made his way to the back.

Solo Sikoa Rejects Rejoining The Bloodline & Attacks Roman Reigns

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured Solo Sikoa refusing to fall in line to Roman Reigns and rejecting rejoining The Bloodline.

During the show, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu came out to the ring. Reigns talked about there is a receipt that he has to collect and called out The Usos to bring him Solo. This led to the Usos and a disappointed looking Sikoa coming out to the ring.

Reigns proceeded to talk down and berate Sikoa and brought up his victory over Sikoa in a Tribal Combat match at the RAW Netflix premiere show almost three years ago. This led to a video playing recapping the match and Sikoa’s defiance of The Bloodline of late that ended with Sikoa telling Jey Uso that Roman can kiss his ass. After the video ended, Reigns continued to berate Sikoa and snatched his glasses off and stomped on it to break it. Reigns then told Sikoa why he is even looking at him eye to eye and why he isn’t on his knees begging to him right now. This led to Fatu attacking Sikoa with a superkick and followed it with a Tongan Death Grip before being told by Reigns that was enough.

Reigns stated that The Usos called the play, they executed the play, and they leveled up. Reigns continued stating that he is the Tribal Chief and they are his captains and if you disrespect The Usos, you disrespect him. Reigns then grabbed two black ula fala’s and placed them around The Usos’ necks.

This led to LA Knight’s music playing and came out to the ring easily dispatching The Usos. Knight then entered the ring only to get attacked from behind by Fatu which led to Reigns telling him to stop and stay where he is. Reigns then laid out Knight with a Superman Punch.

As the Usos held up Knight, Reigns demanded that Sikoa finish him off since they are his family and he has to make some tough decisions now. Sikoa told Knight that he is sorry and prepared the Samoan Spike but instead of hitting Knight, he struck Reigns laying him out instead.

This led to the Usos getting upset and yelling at Sikoa over what he just did. Jey ran towards Sikoa only to get tossed out of the ring as Knight hit a BFT to lay out Jimmy as Fatu just stood there doing nothing.

As Sikoa brawled with Jey on the outside, Knight talked to Fatu leading to Reigns recovering and prepare to hit a Superman Punk only for Knight to block it and laid him out with a BFT. Sikoa then got back into the ring and looked at both Knight and Fatu. Sikoa and Knight gave a fist bump to each other and proceeded to leave the ring as Fatu still watched on doing nothing to help Reigns.

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured three new matches announced for the card of next week’s show on August 24 at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

It was announced that next week’s show will be airing at an earlier than usual start time of 6PM EST on Netflix.
