In-Ring: LA Knight, Solo Sikoa, The Usos

Raw kicks off with LA Knight and Solo Sikoa addressing their recent actions, and how they look to take down the Bloodline. Jokes are made about PEW PEW and Solo taking Knight’s catchphrase, but then The Usos come out. This leads to a challenge made for a tag match between The Usos and the pairing of Sikoa and Knight later tonight.

Stephanie Vaquer vs. Roxanne Perez

It’s a slow start as Perez is quick to get out of harm’s way, escaping to the ring before gaining control of the match by taking Perez to the mat when she comes back. She stays control as we go to commercial break.

Coming back from break, it doesn’t take long for Vaquer to turn things around as she drops Perez to set up for the Devil’s Kiss! Perez escapes to the corner, where she boots Stephanie in the face…only for Vaquer to respond with a dragon screw! Double knees in the opposite corner only gets a two count as we see Liv trying to get her pal back into the match.

It seems to work as Perez breaks free of Vaquer’s grip, but gets pulled away from the ropes as she heads to the apron. While the ref is fixing the apron, Roxanne jabs La Primera in the eye before connecting with a headscissors takedown followed by a Shining Wizard for a nearfall. She goes for a crossface, but Vaquer breaks free and connects with a SVB!

She goes up top but gets knocked down by Morgan while the ref is distracted…but out comes Becky Lynch! Raquel starts to follow her at ringside but is cut off by Vaquer, who gets caught by an enziguri from Perez when she returns to the ring. Vaquer dodges a moonsault and drops Roxanne with a Codebreaker(?) for the win!

Winner: Stephanie Vaquer via Pinfall.

A post-match attack by Judgment Day comes up short thanks to the help of Becky Lynch, who lets Stephanie know this doesn’t change things between them before leaving.

We take a look back at what went down between Je’Von Evans and Big Cass last week, with Dominik Mysterio giving an assist.

Backstage: Rey Mysterio, Rey Fenix, Judgement Day, Je’Von Evans

Speaking of Dom, he appears backstage after Rey Mysterio wishes Dragon Lee luck in his tournament match. The younger Mysterio runs down his father for not including him in the tournament, but he and JD McDonagh get blindsided by Je’Von! Rey daps him up and Evans calls Dom “goofy” before walking off.

Rey Fenix vs. Dragon Lee

The two men lock up to trade offense, each hitting the ropes to reach a standstill. Fenix dodges a kick from Lee to get back to his feet. They get to trading chops and other strikes now, and Dragon sends Rey to the corner for a couple kicks and a wrecking ball dropkick, followed by a running dropkick for good measure, but that only gets a nearfall.

Fenix catches Dragon on the ropes, landing a rope walk kick to knock him down before hitting a flying cross body for two. Lee gets to the apron but Fenix says “Goodbye Amigo” as he lands another rope walk kick knocking him to the floor. Back in the ring they go, and this time it’s Dragon Lee taking control when he counters off the ropes for a German suplex before sending Fenix to the outside for a dive as we go to commercial.

Both men are back to trading offense until Lee takes control, sending Fenix to the mat. He hits the ropes before Fenix goes to counter…and Dragon counters that, landing a big sitout powerbomb for a two count! Fenix in the corner as Lee charges at him, but Rey boots him away and lands a moonsault for a nearfall. He cradles up Dragon again, but still gets just a two count for his efforts.

Fenix takes Lee to the corner but gets slammed agains the turnbuckle instead. He fights back for a hurricanrana attempt, but Lee blocks it before setting Fenix up in the tree of woe for a Fire double stomp…and gets a two when Fenix kicks out!

Lee fires back with a chop with both men on the ropes, and sends Rey to the outside…but Fenix sends him onto the announce table. Dragon trips him up, sending Rey face first onto the table before running into the ring…and launching himself through the ropes, knocking Fenix OFF the table to the floor! He brings Rey back into the ring for a tornado DDT, but it’s only good for a nearfall.

Operation Dragon gets blocked as Rey lands a brainbuster. He sets Lee up in the corner for a double knee, but Lee breaks out of a Mexican Brain Buster to land a powerbomb. He goes for a cover but quickly transitions into a Styles Clash! It only gets him a two, however, and Fenix fires back with a cutter for a nearfall of his own. The two end up fighting it out in the corner until Fenix drops Dragon with the Mexican Muscle Buster for the win!

Winner: Rey Fenix via Pinfall.

We get a replay of the finish as Fenix celebrates the win. Updated graphic puts him across from whoever wins between Penta and La Parka later tonight, and we get a show of sportsmanship in the ring.

Backstage: Oba Femi

See Oba Femi backstage before heading to commercial.

Backstage: Penta, La Parka

We get a look at Penta and La Parka backstage, each getting ready for their semifinal match later tonight. Today. You know what I mean at this point.

In-Ring: Adam Pearce, Paul Heyman, Oba Femi, Bron Breakker

Anyway, we head back to ringside where Adam Pearce is standing by with Paul Heyman. Now, finally, it is time to put pen to paper for the…

Pearce introduces The Ruler first as Oba Femi comes out to a great pop from the crowd. Come on, do the Oba Femi strut with me. Yeah, there ya go. Femi enters the ring to pose, the crowd chanting his name as he shakes hands with Pearce and Heyman. Heyman introduces himself before introducing Bron Breakker, before the World Tag Team Champion makes his way out to what feels like no reaction. At least, it’s harder to make out than everyone chanting Oba’s name, lol. The two men take their seats as Pearce asks Breakker to sign first.

We get a scattered Oba chant and some woof woofs as Bron takes a mic to ask Femi who he thinks he is, coming out and claiming he’s the future. What has he done to earn that? He beat Brock, okay. He won King of the Ring, cool. You won a bunch of squash matches, that’s great. Breakker claims he used to be getting the big reactions and people chanting his name (citation needed) until he got hurt.

The only reason Femi got his spot is because Bron got hurt. Femi, calling Bron an “angry orange man,” talks about the opportunities Bron may have had in the past two years or so, but Breakker has the unfortunate circumstance of coming up against Oba Femi. He talks about Bron’s math being off because ever since Femi came into the picture, the chances of Breakker becoming the face of this company drastically went down.

He says you are now looking at the future, the Ruler…Oba Femi. Bron calls this funny, looking at how everyone loves Oba Femi. He promises this won’t be like any other match Oba’s had, saying he’s taking Femi out to the deep water and taking him down. Oba likes to cast his shadow upon everyone else…but in Atlanta, Breakker is going to own Femi and leave him standing in Bron’s shadow instead. With that, Breakker signs the contract.

He waits for Femi to sign it, asking if he wants his “daddy” to sign it instead…as he turns his attention to Paul Heyman. He addresses having to take a backseat to Brock Lesnar when he came back, running Heyman down before blindsiding Femi into the corner!

Oba fights back, mostly fending off the assist from Austin Theory before Breakker catches him with a clothesline. Femi gets back to his feet pretty quickly, taking out Theory as Bron escapes the ring. Oba grabs the mic saying this is what Bron has coming to him in Atlanta before signing the contract, throwing it at Breakker after attempt to say something on the mic that doesn’t get picked up.

Backstage: The Usos, Jacob Fatu

Audio issues continue to mount as we head backstage, where Jacob Fatu talks to The Usos about what happened earlier tonight. Jey wants to know where Fatu was, and Jacob explains as only he can that the OTC told him to stand down.

He doesn’t answer to the Usos, especially Jey…who points out his ula fala as a sign that he and Jimmy are the captains and Jacob is to follow their plays. In fact, why don’t you stand around backstage and do nothing?

Je’Von Evans vs. Big Cass

We head back to ringside where Je’Von Evans makes his entrance. He looks for some revenge as he takes on Big Cass up next!

Je’Von goes after Cass at the outset but is powered away by the big man. Evans manages to send him to the outside but gets caught on a dive. Je’Von breaks free and returns to the ring, only to be sent to the outside with a clothesline by Cass…who follows the Bouncy Boy to the floor, sending him into the barricade. Evans manages to fight back before sliding back into the ring…but ends up running into a big side slam by Cass as we go to commercial.

Evans starts to fight back now, trying to knock Cass off his feet with a pair of clotheslines before Cass catches him off the ropes. Je’Von breaks free, sending the big man to the outside for a dive sending him into the barricade. Cass starts to back off but gets caught with a chop that sends the big man into the timekeeper area. The ref begins a count as Jey builds up speed, diving onto Cass to send both men down hard.

Je’Von gets back to his feet, laying in more shots as the count reaches eight before Evans brings Cass back into the ring. He lands a Red Dot and goes up for a springboard clothesline, taking Cass right off his feet again. He sets up for an OG Cutter but slips, and this allows Cass to send him to the outside. Evans gets back in the ring but gets laid out with a big boot as Cass picks up the win.

Winner: Big Cass via Pinfall.

Cass leaves the ring as Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh beat up Evans. They stand tall.

Backstage: Sol Ruca, IYO SKY, Lyra Valkyria

We head backstage. Sol Ruca gets a rematch against Raquel Rodriguez for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, and IYO SKY wishes her luck. Lyra Valkyria also chimes in, teasing that Raquel is going to break her before staring down IYO and leaving.

Penta vs. La Parka

Trade of offense ends with Parka managing to stand tall, taking Penta to the corner as he goes for a headscissors…but Penta sends the third or fourth Parka of his lineage to the outside for a dive. He brings Parka back into the ring, but Parka intercepts him for a moonsault. He and Penta get back in the ring, but Penta takes control for a nearfall.

Parka gets caught with a thrust kick before being sent to the corner, but he counters with a Backstabber for two as we go to commercial break.

Parka with some chops on Penta in the corner, but Penta takes control to send his opponent to the opposite corner. Parka with a kick and he takes Penta down with an arm drag and a hip toss for two. Parka goes after Penta in the corner but Penta dodges him, watching Parka do a front flip to get on his feet…and sends him into the corner with a dropkick for a nearfall.

Penta gets to the corner, but Parka blocks a Mexican Destroyer. Parka catches Penta with a satellite DDT but it’s only good for a two count. He sets Penta up in the corner but gets pulled by his mask onto the turnbuckle, allowing Penta to set up a Penta Driver…but La Parka manages to kick out!

The two end up fighting it out in the corner, where Parka takes the former Intercontinental Champion to the mat with a Spanish Fly. Cover by Parka gets a two, before Penta counters out of a Bonebreaker to set up the Sacrifice. This is followed by a Mexican Destroyer (in Canada!) and Penta picks up the win to advance!

Winner: Penta via Pinfall.

With that, we get the final that many were anticipating as Rey Fenix comes to the stage to acknowledge his brother.

Backstage: Solo Sikoa, LA Knight

Backstage, Solo and Knight talk about their tag match as they try to focus on taking down The Usos. That main event is up next (pending whatever segments and ads we have beforehand, this is WWE after all)…

Backstage: Adam Pearce, Chad Gable, “All Ego” Ethan Page

Backstage, Adam Pearce talks to Chad Gable on looking ahead to his next challenger for the Intercontinental Championship. Out goes Pearce and in comes Ethan Page, who talks about Gable being intimidated by him as he looks to face “washed-up” Hall of Famers instead of facing Page himself. Gable cuts him off, pointing out Ethan tapped out to him in the gauntlet match a few weeks back, and is talking him out of a title match.

He walks off as we head back to ringside.

We take a look back at what happened in our opening contest, as well as the aftermath.

Backstage: Stephanie Vaquer

backstage to hear from Stephanie Vaquer. In two weeks on Raw, Vaquer challenges Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship. Vaquer talks about the opportunity, looking forward to taking back her title and taking down Judgment Day.

The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) vs. LA Knight & Solo Sikoa

With that, we head to ringside for our main event. The Usos make their entrance through the crowd, yeeting all over the place as they head toward ringside before we go to commercial.

Back at ringside, LA Knight makes his entrance. He stares The Usos down in the ring as Sikoa makes his way out before we get things underway!

Knight and Jimmy start things off with Knight keeping Jimmy at bay. He connects with a clothesline before bringing Jimmy to his feet for a tag to Solo. Double team shoulder tackle followed by a falling headbutt by Sikoa for two. Some stomps on Jimmy in the corner before tagging Knight back in, who gets some shots in of his own.

Another double team comes from a tag back to Sikoa, who gets knocked back by Jimmy before Jey gets the tag in. Solo gets rocked but blocks a suplex for a headbutt. Solo sent to the ropes, where Jimmy kicks him while the ref is distracted and sent to the outside by Jey. Stereo thrust kicks and The Usos are in control as we go to picture-in-picture.

Picture-in-Picture: Usos bring their brother back into the ring and Jimmy tags in for some shots. He distracts the ref while Jey sneaks in a shot of his own. The attack continues as we come back from break.

Jey has tagged back in, but Solo starts fighting back until Jey takes him to the ropes with an enziguri. Sikoa tries to fight out of it but takes a blindside kick by Jimmy, who then tags in to keep Solo in the corner. Jimmy charges at Sikoa, who sends him over the top rope to the outside before crawling for a tag from Knight…who gets knocked off the apron by Jey after a tag is made! He sends Solo to the corner but gets caught, with Knight finally getting a tag as Jimmy comes in as well. Knight fires off some punches and a clothesline, sending Jimmy into the corner for a neckbreaker.

He gets caught on the ropes, and a Jey distraction allows Jimmy to roll him up for a two count. Knight looks for a BFT but has to counter a Samoan drop for a nearfall of his own. He goes up top for an elbow drop, and gets a nearfall before Jey breaks it up. Solo comes in but is sent to the outside, where he blocks a dive by Jey.

Jey and Solo go at it until both men are laid out by Royce Keys, while two other guys come into the ring to go after Knight and Jimmy. They’re quickly identified as OTM’s Bronco Nima and Lucien Price, and it seems Keys has linked up with these guys as they lay waste to The Usos AND Knight and Sikoa. This culminates with Nima and Price setting Sikoa up to send him into a ring step shot to the head by Royce, who lands a shot on Knight for good measure. They then set up Jimmy Uso for a Shield-style powerbomb through the announce table, before getting back in the ring to stand tall as Raw comes to a close.

Winner: None.
