Commentary welcomes us to the show, hyping up tonight’s lineup and the implications for All Out next weekend. Later tonight we’ll see new Number One Contenders named for the World Trios Title, but we will kick things off with an 8-Man Tag bringing the tag champions Cage & Cope together with Darby Allin and Steven Borden Jr. We take a look at what went down last week on Dynamite as Borden and Darby aided the champs. Backstage we hear from the champs, Darby, and Steven.

Backstage: Cage & Cope, Darby Allin, Steven Borden

Cope gives Borden some props for his successful debut on TV last week, before Christian starts to talk about “the loss of your father…’s in-ring career.” This is interrupted by Darby, who mentions he and Cage aren’t fully through…but Cope wants to make sure we’re all good for tonight. They reluctantly agree before leaving.

Backstage: FTR, Stokely Hathaway, Don Callis Family

Elsewhere we hear from FTR and the Don Callis Family. Some tension between the pairs here before we head to ringside for our opening match of the night!

Eight-Man Tag Team Match
Cage & Cope (Christian Cage & Adam Copeland), Darby Allin, & Steven Borden vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) & Don Callis Family (Kyle Fletcher & “The Jet” Kevin Knight)

Out first is Adam Copeland, the crowd singing his theme as he enters the ring. Christian Cage makes his entrance next, followed by Darby Allin and Steven Borden Twonior to a nice pop from the Norfolk crowd. FTR make their way out next, heading down the ramp before being joined by Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher. The quartet enter the ring and we get this match underway!

We start off with Cope and Fletcher as they lock up, with Kyle being brought to the ropes. He fights back for position but is brought back to the ropes, forcing a break on his way to the outside. Fletcher makes his way back in the ring and goes on the offense until Darby tags in. Some tension here as Cage tags himself in instead, but Darby slaps him on the back to get back in the match.

Kyle takes advantage of this by going after Allin, lifting him up for a suplex…but Borden gets the tag to go after the former International Champion! Things quickly break down as FTR come into the ring, as well as Knight, the tag champs, and Darby. This finally ends with Dax officially tagging in to square up with Borden…who takes Harwood to the corner before slapping him in the face.

Dax fires up as he takes Borden to the mat, followed by sending Steven to the corner…but Borden fights back for a dropkick and takes a nearfall for his efforts. Borden knocks Fletcher and Knight off the apron, but this allows Dax to go after him…until Steven sends him to the ropes, and Harwood decides to take a breather on the outside. This doesn’t last long as Darby lands some shots on him before sending him back into the ring…and chaos ensues when all eight men go at it before we go to break!

Darby and Cash go at it in the ring, with Darby being sent to the mat. Tag made to Fletcher now, who keeps Darby from getting a tag as Dax and the DCF take the remaining competitors off the apron in the opposite corner. Fletcher sends Darby to the corner, where Callis gets a cheap shot in for good measure. Darby starts to fight back as Dax gets involved off a tag, but Darby makes a tag to Borden who goes off on Fletcher, FTR, and Knight! Dax sends Steven to the corner, setting him up for a chop on the top turnbuckle.

Harwood looks for a superplex, but Borden knocks Dax back with right hands as the crowd chants “Steve”…before Harwood gets sent to the mat! Things start to break down as the remaining competitors come in, but we’re left with Darby and Cash before Allin gets sent to the outside…allowing FTR and DCF to set up Borden for a four post combo culminating in a UFO Splash by Knight! Harwood with the cover but only gets a two count! He wears down Steven with some strikes before looking for a Scorpion Deathlock…but Borden kicks him away, sending him into a chair shot by Cage on the outside!

Cage follwos up by taking out Knight and Wheeler, while Darby hits a Coffin Drop on Harwood allowing Borden to get the pin for the win!

Winner: Cage & Cope, Darby Allin, & Steven Borden via Pinfall.

Some more tension as Cage starts to celebrate with Darby’s TNT Title

Backstage: Jon Moxley, Death Riders

We head backstage to hear from Jon Moxley. He addresses Ospreay targeting him and the World Title match they’re set to have at All Out. Mox says nobody understands how hard the road to being champion is like he does. He hopes that Ospreay has learned some lessons from their time together, including the idea that a belt around a wrestler’s waist doesn’t necessarily make them the best.

Mox admits that Kidd and PAC would love to “tune Will up” before their All Out match, with Kidd looking to break the new champ’s leg during their trios match tonight. PAC says that it’s the Death Riders against the world, and they’re not gonna let Ospreay off the hook.

Video: The Brawling Birds, Divine Dominion

We get some hype for the Women’s World Tag Team Championship match at All Out followed by a video package, with Lena Kross set to take on Jamie Hayter later tonight. Up next, Jericho takes on Nick Wayne!

Chris Jericho vs. Nick Wayne

We head back to ringside as Jericho makes his entrance for our next match. We get a look back at the feud that’s been building up between him and Nick Wayne before the latter makes his way out to the ring to get this match underway!

Crowd chants for Jericho as he locks up with Wayne, who quickly takes the former World Champion to the mat. Wayne mocks Jericho, telling him to show Nick something…and Jericho seemingly obliges by taking him down with a body slam! Nick is flustered as he slaps Jericho, which only fires up Jericho as he takes Wayne to the corner and to the canvas…only for Wayne to block a Lionsault attempt.

Nick with some shots before he hits the ropes, but Jericho fights back with a backbreaker. He lifts Wayne up for a delayed vertical suplex, but a boot on the chest only gets him a two count as Wayne kicks out. Nick jabs him in the eye to regain control, bringing him to the apron as he continues firing off shots. Jericho fights it out with Wayne on the apron now, dropping him with a Death Valley Driver onto the hardest part of the ring! Jericho celebrates before bringing Nick to his feet…only for Wayne to send him into the ring steps!

Jericho pops to his feet, but Wayne catches him with a Destroyer to the floor as we go to a break.

Back from break, both men are in the ring as Jericho takes Nick to the mat with a back body drop before sending him to the outside. Wayne is not allowed to get back into this as he’s knocked right off the apron before Jericho goes up top for an elbow drop. He brings Wayne to the apron, but Nick fights back with a kick before landing a senton to drive Jericho into the apron!

Jericho rolls back into the ring as Nick goes up top…jumping into a Codebreaker by Jericho for two. Jericho brings Wayne to his feet for some chops, before Nick fights back with a standing Sliced Bread for a nearfall of his own! Nick waits for Jericho to get back to his feet, but misses a roundhouse kick as Jericho looks for the Walls instead. Wayne powers out and lands a thrust kick, only for Jericho to intercept him in the corner for some punches and a hurricanrana sending Nick to the canvas.

Nick retreats to the opposite corner, only for Jericho to catch him with another combo there…but Wayne dodges a Judas Effect and takes Jericho down hard for a two count. Both men fight to their feet, until Jericho manages to take Wayne’s puka shell necklace off his neck, distracting Nick long enough to pin him down to the mat for the win!

Winner: Chris Jericho via Pinfall.

Wayne is beside himself, partly over the loss and partly over Jericho seemingly breaking his necklace. Jericho offers him a hand to get up, but Nick fires off on him before grabbing a chair from ringside. He slams it against Jericho’s back, sending him down hard before taking his leave from the ring.

Ringside: Mercedes Mone Injury Announcement

Commentary talks about Mercedes Moné not being cleared for All Out, meaning Willow Nightingale and Thekla will face off for the right to challenge her for the AEW Women’s World Championship at WrestleDream instead.

We get a video package centered around Willow and Thekla calling out Mercedes before looking ahead to their All Out match.

Backstage: United Empire

Backstage, we hear from Will Ospreay, Andrade El Idolo, and Francesco Akira ahead of their trios match later tonight. Ospreay addresses the Death Riders as well as United Empire inviting the likes of Andrade into the group, while noting that El Idolo shows off the contract for his guaranteed shot at the World Title. El Idolo tells him to relax as he’s focused on tonight’s match, and we get a few words from Akira in Italian allegedly translated to “let’s kick the s–t out of the Death Riders!”

AEW World Trios Championship #1 Contender’s Match
The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong) vs. The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly (Hangman Adam Page, Bandido, & Brody King)

Page and O’Reilly face off first, with Kyle being sent to the mat with a shoulder tackle by the Hangman. Page goes for a sunset flip, but O’Reilly counters into a cross arm breaker. Back and forth they go as the two counter each other, until Page wrings the arm of O’Reilly for a tag to Bandido. The ROH World Champion goes to work on Kyle’s arm before O’Reilly turns it around, sending Bandido to the ropes. Bandido dodges it but Kyle in turn blocks a suplex before going after the arm of Bandido. Trade of arm drags before Kyle catches the luchador with a hard kick to the chest.

Tag to Cassidy as he and Kyle double-team Bandido. Cassidy continues to hold control until Bandido gets the tag to Brody King, who lands some chops on Orange before dropping him to the mat. Cassidy kips up, only to realize King is right behind him. Brody sends him to the corner, where Roderick gets a tag. Strong and King trade chops back and forth as we go to ad break.

Bandido hoists Cassidy up for a delayed suplex as we come back, sending Orange to the mat. Both men are down until Cassidy gets a tag back to Strong, and Page gets the tag for his team. Page sends up sending Strong to the mat before Kyle runs in, only to be dropped with a boot by the Hangman. Cassidy and Strong are stacked in the corner as Roddy tries to send Orange into Page, who catches him in mid-air before dropping Roderick with a boot and sending Cassidy out of the ring with a fall away slam!

He sends O’Reilly out of the ring before dropping Strong hard for a two count. Roddy blocks a Dead Eye before landing some kicks on Page, and a tag to Kyle proves ineffective when he gets kicked out by Page. In comes Brody off a tag, and he goes after O’Reilly and Strong before tags are made to Page and Bandido. They set up Strong and O’Reilly as Cassidy gets a blind tag, only to be dropped off the apron by King…who lands a cannonball on the other guys!

He goes for a baseball slide to Cassidy, but gets sent to the barricade instead as Kyle lands a running kick on him. Back in the ring, Page goes after Cassidy before being dropped with a backbreaker by Strong, leaving us with Bandido and Cassidy in the ring. Bandido lands a cutter from a suplex position, but only gets a two. Bandido gets dropped with a Stundog Millionaire and an Orange Punch, but the triple team from Conglomeration only leads to another nearfall.

Strong drags Cassidy to the corner for a tag while Page tags in as well, and the two trade strikes until Page lays out Roddy with a clothesline. Cassidy intervenes, looking for a DDT off the ropes. Page blocks this, but it allows Orange to feign “riding” the back of the Hangman…who turns it around on Cassidy, before Strong knocks him down. O’Reilly lands some shots on him but is dropped by King, who blocks an Orange Punch and takes some “hard kicks” from Cassidy…only to get rocked by an actual hard kick by Strong!

Page takes him out and blocks an Orange Punch, landing a Buckshot Lariat on Strong to pick up the win.

Winner: The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly via Pinfall.

The trio celebrate their win before we get ready for our next match.

Video: The Butcher Tribute Recap

A video aired recapping last week’s AEW Collision show held in tribute to the late “The Butcher” Andy Williams.

Tommaso Ciampa vs. Myles Hawkins

Myles is way too focused on his gear, telling the ring crew not to get it messed up…and Ciampa doesn’t care about any of this, quickly driving Hawkins down to the mat for the win.

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa via Pinfall.

Ciampa takes his leave from the ring as commentary hypes up the rest of the night, and from there we go to a commercial break.

In-Ring: Swerve Strickland, Prince Nana, The New Level, The Demand

Back at ringside, Tony Schiavone welcomes to the ring the World Trios Champions. Swerve Strickland comes out first, followed by New Level…but the trio are blindsided by The Demand! They end up sending Swerve into the ring steps as Kaun goes after Creed. Austin tries to fight back but the GOA lay him out. Kofi tries to make the save, but to no avail as he faces the same fate.

Strickland rolls into the ring but ends up taking the damage from The Demand as well, before Ricochet grabs the titles from ringside to stand tall over the champs.

Backstage: Jungle Jack Perry

We go backstage. Jack Perry addresses facing former world champions to prove a point, admitting that he’s gotten beat both times…but he’s learning something. He’s looking for the impossible dream, before calling his shot…turning his attention to Samoa Joe. He says Joe is both feared and loved, but not by Jack. It’s time for Joe to come back and teach him something.

He’s heard the legend. Come back, and make Perry’s day. The camera pans over slightly, revealing some graffiti on the wall that reads “JOE’S GONNA KILL YOU” as Dynamite rolls on.

Lena Kross vs. Jamie Hayter

Back at ringside, Lena Kross makes her entrance for our next match. This is followed by Jamie Hayter as she enters the ring…only to be blindsided by Kross as we get this match underway!

She continues the damage by sending Hayter to the corner, where she drives her boot into the throat. Hayter manages to fight back, sending Lena to the corner for a clothesline. Kross fires back until a dragon screw allows Jamie to get back into the match…before Kross ends her onto the apron face first!

She sends the champ into the guardrail for good measure, but Hayter manages to land some shots of her own to fight back. She climbs onto the apron, but gets dropped onto the ring post with a powerbomb by Kross, who celebrates the attack as we go to break.

Kross remains in control in the ring until Hayter takes her down with a clothesline, allowing her to follow up by sending Lena into the corner for another. She catches Kross from the top with a missile dropkick and a cover for two. She sets Kross up for Hayterade but Kross dodges it, catching Jamie with a German suplex for a nearfall of her own. Hayter counters a suplex into a cradle for two, landing a step up kick only to be caught with a neckbreaker of sorts by Kross.

Hayter fights back sending Kross to the mat, and both women are down as the ref begins the count. The two get to their feet trading strikes, with Kross hoisting Hayter up to slam her against the canvas. Jamie starts to get up, but Lena takes her right back down for a two count. Knee strike by Hayter allows her to fight back as she gets a nearfall. Backbreaker by Hayter gets her another close two count.

As she brings Kross to her feet, Bayne pops up on the apron with Hayter’s tag title. This distracts the ref and Hayter as Kross grabs a pipe from under the ring…and wallops the champ with it, hiding the pipe before landing a Jackhammer for the win!

Winner: Lena Kross via Pinfall.

Windsor comes running down to stop Divine Dominion from attacking Hayter after the match

Video: Andrade El Idolo

We go to a video package focused on Andrade El Idolo. He will defend the National Championship against Daniel Garcia on Collision this week, but up next he is part of the big trios match!

Backstage: Kazuchika Okada, Tommaso Ciampa

Before we get to that, we go backstage to hear from Kazuchika Okada about Tommaso Ciampa’s challenge for the International Championship. He’s given it some thought…and he says Tommaso Ciampa is a b—h. Ciampa isn’t playing around as he blindsides the champ, slamming him against a road case before landing a running knee strike. He says that when he wanted Ciampa versus Okada, he meant he wanted the Psycho Killer versus the Rainmaker…b—h. He leaves Okada behind as we go to commercial.

Backstage: The Brawling Birds

Backstage, the Brawling Birds address what happened tonight before turning their attention to the title match at All Out. With that, Dynamite rolls on with our main event (with less than ten minutes to go before the end of the normal timeslot lol).

Trios Match
Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Gabe Kidd, & PAC) vs. United Empire (Will Ospreay, Francesco Akira, & Andrade El Idolo)

Back at ringside, the Death Riders make their way through the crowd to a pretty big pop from the crowd. Out next are Andrade El Idolo, Francesco Akira, and Will Ospreay as the United Empire trio head to the ring to get this match underway!

Ospreay and Mox appear to be starting things off on this match as they stare each other down. Each man looks for an opening…until Mox backs off to the corner, tagging out to Gabe Kidd instead. Kidd charges at Ospreay, biting his hand before sending the World Champion to the corner. PAC comes in and the two double-team Ospreay…who manages to fight back by sending PAC out before taking Kidd down with an Skytwister Press for two! Akira with the tag, and he and Andrade come in to fend off the Riders, setting up for a three-way dive to the outside. Andrade takes a moment to get a selfie with a fan in the front row as Akira gets a cover on Kidd for two, before being sent to the corner.

He runs off Andrade when he returns to ringside, and Mox comes in with a tag to send Akira to the steps on the outside. Kidd follows up by sending him into the guardrail, and we see Wheeler Yuta mocking Akira before Mox brings him back into the ring, and a tag to PAC gets a nearfall for the Riders. Akira starts to fight back but is sent to the corner hard by PAC, who mocks the crowd before we get a triple team in the corner before Mox tags in for some more damage.

Akira fights back with a chop on Mox, but the Continental twists him up for a cloverleaf of sorts. Akira fights his way to the ropes for a break as we go to, well, a break of our own.

Things have broken down as we come back from break, with the Riders still firmly in control as they beat up Akira in their corner. Akira starts to fight out of the corner, sliding through on a hammer throw attempt to escape to the outside. He gets caught by PAC on his way back to the corner, but manages to kick PAC away to make a tag to El Idolo! Andrade takes PAC to the mat before getting back on his feet. Down go the pants as El Idolo takes PAC to the corner, where he lands a Meteora before Ospreay tags in.

Will goes for a Storm Breaker to no avail, but catches PAC with an enziguri instead…before PAC fires back with a German suplex as Ospreay builds speed from the ropes. Mox with a tag as he and Ospreay trade strikes. Ospreay to the ropes but he gets caught in a choke by Mox. He lands on his feet off a suplex, setting up Mox for a Liger bomb and a two count before Kidd breaks it up.

Kidd gets sent out of the ring, but stops Ospreay from going for a Hidden Blade before Akira intercepts him. Akira also gets a tag as he lands a dive to the outside, and then hits Mox with a cutter for the cover and a nearfall. Akira misses a running knee as Kidd slams him into the corner, but Ospreay drops him to the outside as Andrade ends up taking a cutter from Mox. This leaves us with Akira and Mox in the ring as Ospreay is sent away, and Akira fights to his feet with some shots on the Continental Champion before sending him to the corner. Yuta gets onto the apron but is sent away by Akira…before Mox lays out Akira with a clothesline and a Paradigm Shift!

Kidd pulls Ospreay out of the ring and PAC keeps Andrade out as Mox drops Akira with not one but two Death Rider DDTs, followed by a bulldog choke. Akira has no choice but to tap as the ref calls for the bell.

Winner: Death Riders via Submission.

It takes Mox a while to let go of the hold for the official announcement, and Mox quickly goes back after Akira with the hold. Andrade manages to break free to slide into the ring, where he fends off Mox before landing Dia de los Muertos…but in come The Dogs as they take out El Idolo. Mox leaves the ring to grab a chair, handing it to Kidd as he looks to Pillmanize the newest captain of United Empire.

Ospreay slides into the ring for the save, sending the Dogs and Mox out of the ring as they stare down Ospreay and El Idolo. The baddies make their exit thorugh the crowd as commentary hypes up Collision on Saturday as well as the 3-hour special Dynamite-Collision for next week ahead of All Out next weekend before Dynamite comes to a close.
