JBL Says Announcers Aren’t Being Brought In For WWE x AAA Worlds Collide 2026 & Was Told They Would Call It In Post-Production

As noted before, WWE broadcast plans for their upcoming WWE x AAA Worlds Collide 2026 event on September 26 in Rosemont, Illinois is currently uncertain in regards to if the show will air live or where it would be aired on.

A recent episode of the Something To Wrestle with JBL podcast featured WWE Hall of Famer and AAA English commentator JBL revealing that he and the rest of the AAA commentary team will not be at the upcoming show and instead they were told it would be done in post-production.

“I’m not going to be there. We’re going to call it post fact. I’m not going to be there. They asked if I would come in, I said, ‘Absolutely, I’d be happy to.’ But they’re not bringing in announcers.” 

JBL also gave his thoughts about if he knew if or where the show would be broadcast.

“I don’t know. Things have changed so much. They called me two or three weeks ago and said, ‘Would you mind coming in?’ I said, ‘I’d be happy to.’ I know most things are remote in Mexico. I told them I’d be happy to come to Chicago, but things changed. What they told us initially, this was a few weeks ago, is that we would probably voice it over next week. They may have changed that since, I don’t know.”
