Yuto-Ice Issues Challenge To Will Ospreay For AEW World Title Match In Japan

Sunday’s NJPW Destruction in Kobe 2026 event at the Kobe World Hall in Kobe, Japan featured Yuto-Ice issuing a challenge to current AEW World Champion Will Ospreay and AEW itself.

Following Unbound Co.’s (Knockout Bros. (Yuto-Ice & OSKAR) & Daiki Nagai) victory over United Empire (HENARE, Great-O-Khan, & Zane Jay), HENARE and Great-O-Khan attacked the Knockout Brothers. As HENARE brawled with Yuto-Ice, Great-O-Khan repeatedly attacked OSKAR with a chair targeting his knee. This led to Yuto-Ice coming to the aid of his tag team partner and eventually cleared the ring of HENARE and Great-O-Khan.

Yuto-Ice grabbed a microphone and proceeded to insult and bash United Empire talking about they don’t make money as IWGP Tag Team Champions. After more insults directed at United Empire, Yuto-Ice turned his attention towards AEW and called out Ospreay. Yuto-Ice issued a challenge to AEW to bring over Ospreay to Japan so that he can make he big money he wants in wrestling. After some more words, Yuto-Ice stated that it was KOB and NJPW’s turn to use AEW to make the big money.

Yuto-Ice then turned his attention towards AEW CEO Tony Khan calling him out saying that he hears that Khan wants to work with KOB but if they are going to do it, it has to be in Japan. Yuto-Ice then issued a challenge to Ospreay for a match for his AEW World title.

Yuto-Ice’s challenge was in reference to comments made by AEW CEO Tony Khan during the AEW All Out 2026 post-show media scrum about him believing it being absolutly possible for the AEW World Championship to be defended in Japan in the future.

This was Skywalker’s first-ever NJPW World Television Championship victory in his NJPW career.
