Myles Borne Fools Tavion Heights Into Being Friends Again & Turns Heel and Attacks Heights
Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured Myles Borne cementing his heel turn on Tavion Heights.
During the show, Borne came out to the ring and called for Heights to come out because he wanted to apologized in public for how he had treated him and caused their friendship to fall apart after their NXT Tag Team titles loss at NXT Heatwave 2026. Heights told Borne that brothers fight sometimes but what Borne did to him was over the line. Borne responded stating that he was sorry and that he jumped the gun and let his emotions get to him. Borne continued stating that he acted out of fear and he’s not proud of what he did and that for that he is sorry.

Heights responded stating he appreciated the apology but he is still hurting from Borne’s betrayal. Heights continued stating Borne kicked him when he was down and Borne abandoned him. Borne responded bringing up how Heights acted in a similar tone towards him at Great American Bash but he forgave Heights.
After some more words, Borne asked Heights to forgive him. After some words between Heights and Borne, Heights stated that he forgives Borne and wants to get things rolling again with them as a team. Heights and Borne then hugged each other and as they celebrated their newly reunited friendship, Borne hit Heights with a Borne Again and tossed him out of the ring and into the LED barricade breaking it. Borne then tossed Heights back into the ring and grabbed a chair, which he wrapped around Heights’ ankle and stomped on it. As Heights screamed in pain, NXT officials rushed out to separate the two and attend to Heights.

La Catalina Makes Surprise Appearance
Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured AAA Reina de Reinas Championshp La Catalina making a surprise appearance.
During the show, NXT Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan came out to the ring and boasted about herself and her being the NXT Women’s Champion. After some words mocking Wren Sinclair and claiming there is no one in the women’s locker room who can step up to her, La Catalina’s music played and came out to the ring.
La Catalina congratulated Jordan on her rise to the top in NXT and stated that she was out here to take women’s wrestling to the next level.

This led to NXT Women’s North American Champion Zaria coming out to interrupt and followed by Thea Hail afterwards. After some words between all of them, Hail stated that she may be young but she’s proved she’s championship material. This led to a brawl breaking out that ended with Jordan and Zaria being sent out of the ring and Hail and La Catalina dancing in the ring together.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2026 Announced & To Start at 9/22 Show
Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured NXT GM Robert Stone announcing the return of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament for this year.
Stone stated that this year’s tournament will feature 14 teams from AAA, NXT, WWE EVOLVE, RAW, and SmackDown.
Stone also announced that the official field of teams and bracket will be released later this week.
Stone also announced that this year’s tournament will officially start at next week’s show.

This is the first time WWE will be holding a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic since 2024.
Mason Rook Wins #1 Contender Match & Earns Shot At NXT Title
Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured Mason Rook defeating Tony D’Angelo and Saquon Shugars in a #1 Contender’s Triple Threat match for the NXT Championship.

As a result of his victory, Rook will be facing off against Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship at a future NXT show.
