David Finlay Comments on His Decision To Join AEW Over WWE NXT

A recent episode of the Talk Is Jericho podcast featured David Finlay as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Finlay’s thoughts about his decision join AEW instead of WWE NXT following his departure from NJPW this past February.

“Just overall package of obviously pay and schedule… All my friends are in AEW. My brother and dad are in NXT. It would have been cool but it’s like, ‘No, I want to go keep doing what I’m doing, have the freedom to do what I want to do.’ If I can be with my friends, that’s a great bonus. I think I would have struggled with re-humbling myself to the level that they would have wanted me to humble myself to. It’s like, ‘I’ve already been here. I’ve already proven myself.’”

Bryce Remsburg Comments on Jon Moxley Being The “Ace” Of AEW Locker Room

As noted before, this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania was held in tribute to the late “PAC” Benjamin Satterley. This show featured AEW, many AEW talents, and the Satterley Family paying tribute to Satterley throughout the show. AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley also paid tribute to Satterley in a speech given after the show.

AEW referee Bryce Remsburg recently reflected on Instagram about AEW’s tribute show to Satterley and how Moxley is the “ace” of the AEW locker room for how he treats people well when they need it the most.

“Ace of the ring. Ace of the locker room.

Mox waited until he knew the camera was not on us and came up behind me and put his hands on my shoulders and said ‘this is intense, but we’re gonna get through it together’

Proud to play for this team.”

In regards to breakdowns, Meltzer reported that All Out’s buys were around the same overall as this past June’s Forbidden Door 2026 event in the United States but it was up outside of the U.S. compared to Forbidden Door.
