As noted before, Max Caster’s contract with AEW was set to expire this October. Caster’s former The Acclaimed tag team partner and current The Opps member Anthony Bowens’ contract with AEW was also set to expire on October 1.
Fightful Select reported that their sources confirmed that both Caster and Bowens’ contracts with AEW have expired and both are currently free agents.
Caster confirmed his free agency on Twitter posting an image with the definition of “free agent.”

Prior to theit departures, Bowens had been with AEW since November of 2020 and most recently wrestled at this past August’s AEW All In 2026 event and made an appearance at this past September’s All Out 2026 event. Caster had been with AEW since June of 2020 and had been signed with the company since November of 2020 and has been absent since December of 2025.
