Ludwig Kaiser (El Grande Americano) Battery Arrest in Florida Update – Kaiser’s Defense Given Access To Evidence

As noted before, WWE and AAA talent Ludwig Kaiser, also known as El Grande Americano and real name Marcel Barthel, was arrested on charges of battery this past May following an altercation with a man in Orange County, Florida. This incident was caused after Kaiser and a female were allegedly acting “uncontrollably intimate” in an elevator and Kaiser attacked the man in retaliation after being allegedly told to “please have some manners.” Kaiser’s attorneys filed a motion this past July requesting for the case to be dismissed and provided Kaiser’s side of the story regarding the incident. The alleged victim Richard Reap filed a notice of appearance earlier this month listing a new attorney for his lawsuit and potentially teasing a civil lawsuit against Kaiser in the future. Kaiser’s motion to have the case dismissed was rejected by the court this past Monday.

The Wrestling Observer’s Joseph Currier reported that a “Notice of Supplemental Discovery” was filed by Assistant State Attorney Juanda Padgett informing the court that the State of Florida has given Kaiser’s defense access to four pieces of evidence.

These four pieces of evidence were photos of alleged victim Reap that were entered into evidence at this week’s court hearing. These photos reportedly are of Reap’s elbow, head injury, and a right side injury.

Currier reported that a CD was also entered into evidence at the hearing this week, which he speculated could be the surveillance footage that Kaiser’s defense already had access to.
