A recent episode of the Battleground Podcast featured WWE Hall of Famer and AEW personality Mick Foley as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Foley’s thoughts about the differences between AEW and WWE’s management styles.
“Tony Khan makes it clear that he really appreciates his talent. I love when he comes out and talks to the crowd in between tapings. He’s fantastic with that. He’s got a great rapport, and it’s just a different management style. And it’s one that I take to better.”
Foley also gave his thoughts about how WWE having competition is better for the fans and the wrestlers.
“And more is always better for the fans. If we remember the Monday Night Wars, having more wrestling on TV is always better. And without AEW, WWE wrestlers would not be doing nearly as well. I hear they’re now cutting way back on salaries, and it’s great to know there’s somewhere else to go.”
