Rocky Romero vs. Jordan Oliver

One half of “Bustah and the Brain” took on a card-carrying member of the Don Callis Family in singles action here.

Oliver bounced back from the ropes and floored Rocky with a big shoulder tackle as he then connected with the side headlock takeover. Back inside the ring, Oliver was caught in a very European chinlock from Rocky, but he blocked the running boot. Rocky raked Oliver in the eyes and got him with the basement dropkick following the snapmare. “How do you like that, Mbappe?” taunted Rocky as he did his sliding taunt. Another chinlock by Rocky, but Oliver escaped and blasted him with repeated chops that staggered his opponent. Big toss by Oliver rattled Rocky, as did the big boot for a close near-fall.

Video: Preston Vance

Caprice got right to it and asked about how it was like for Vance getting the approval of certain individuals.

Vance said that he felt like he was being “brainwashed by himself” when he joined LFI and the Frat House, where he didn’t take wrestling seriously. Vance said he needed to find himself and go back to his roots, which was being a part of the Dark Order. He noted that he wanted John Silver’s approval more than anything else.

Caprice said that it was commendable of Vance to be mature enough to acknowledge his past mistakes, also asking if he was willing to prove himself to John Silver.

Vance said that Silver might not be wrong to be doubtful, but he viewed that Silver might be a bit blinded and forgetting the good times they all had as a family with the Dark Order. Vance was hopeful that Silver could eventually remember the brotherhood that they once had.

Caprice felt like Vance was in a repentive state and gave him the open floor to say his piece to John Silver.

Vance said that he was sorry and that the things he did in the past like hurting Brodie Jr. was heinous. He said that he wanted one more chance, and that brothers fight and that they make up.

Caprice wanted Vance to know that he saw change and that a person who was willing to admit they were wrong in the past were walking down the right path. He wished Vance the best of luck in his journey of redemption to end the segment.

Backstage: Soloroto, Griff Garrison

We heard from Soloroto and Griff Garrison, who wondered what else they needed to be fully like Hangman Page and Brodido. They agreed that they needed to be the champions they wanted to be, they needed to do all the moves of the former AEW Trios Champions.

Solo looked for a 21-Plex on Johnny, but he failed to connect with it. Griff was going to hit the Buckshot Lariat, but he couldn’t. Super Glossy Centerfold DDT on Griff got the dub for MxM TV.

Backstage: Athena, Billie Starkz

Billie Starkz was upset about her loss to Hyan, as Athena said that maybe she was looking at the wrong place for some new muscle with Diamante gone, maybe instead of Maya World, it should’ve been Hyan. Starkz was understandably confused.

Ortiz vs. Mark Davis

Our main event kicked off with Davis refusing the Code of Honor handshake. Ortiz failed to do any sort of damage with chops to Davis’s chest, but Dunkzilla managed to take him down with a single chop. Outside the ring, Davis chopped down Ortiz again and slammed him back-first on the corner of the apron, with the impact being felt on the back of the neck.

Ortiz struggled his way back into the ring, a lot the worse for wear. That didn’t stop him from trying to fight back, but one punch from Davis caused Ortiz to stagger into the corner. Running punch to a stunned Ortiz in the corner, but that only got a one-count. Ortiz tried to fight back with punches and a scratch to the chest, but Davis once again felled him with a punch.
