Dark Sheik Says She Walked Out On GCW When They Brought In Drake Wuertz

As noted before, this past August’s Homecoming 2026 Part 1 event for Game Changer Wrestling in Atlantic City, New Jersey featured former WWE referee Drake Wuertz, former Drake Younger in the indies, making a surprise appearance. Wuertz also competed in a match for GCW at the following night’s GCW Homecoming 2026 Part 2 event. Following his match, Wuertz gave a speech apologizing for the past controversies he has been involved with.

GCW and indies talent Dark Sheik stated earlier today on Twitter that she had walked out of GCW when they brought in Wuertz.

“when they brought in drake and I was the only one who walked out, im pretty sure I became the last outlaw.

But if a signed guy took a week off for injury. now its “We’re all gcw.”

In response to another tweet from Dark Shiek, GCW owner and promoter Brett Lauderdale responded about Dark Sheik’s walking out of GCW and claimed the issues with Wuertz’s booking was not the real reason why she pulled out of a GCW event.

“”Walk out” suggests you were in the venue and left upon learning of something you didnt like… thats not what happened

Now Tell them about the actual conversation we had when you made the decision to pull off the LA show”
