Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton in Last Man Standing Match Set for WWE Crown Jewel 2026

WWE’s SmackDown show also featured one new match for the card of Crown Jewel 2026, which takes place on November 7 at the Riyadh Season Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This new match announced was a Last Man Standing match of Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton.

This new match was initially setup over recent weeks shows over Rhodes and Orton’s bad blood issues with each other. During tonight’s show, Orton came out to the ring and talked about Rhodes and how he is proud of him before insulting him some more stating he never thought in a million years his balls would drop low enough to punt someone in the head. Orton continued talking about how it’s a badge of honor for him because he’s the only one to make Rhodes crack and how he sees right through Rhodes. Orton continued talking about how for 25 years, he took down legends, friends, and enemies, kicking them in the head with zero remorse or hesitation. Orton stated that he doesn’t think, he knows if Rhodes gets the opportunity, he will again hesitate.

This led to Rhodes’ music playing to interrupt and came out to the ring. Rhodes talked about how he felt unafraid being up against someone called the “Apex Predator” and brought up how Orton was his own worse enemy for why he kept killing his chances at becoming even a greater star in WWE.

After some more words, Rhodes challenged Orton to a match on the spot only for SmackDown GM Nick Aldis to prevent it and told the two that they will fight but at Crown Jewel. Rhodes then upped the stakes issuing a Last Man Standing stipulation for their match and Orton accepted to make it official.
