We reported earlier that as of two weeks ago, WWE was no longer flying in the NXT talents who have been playing the role of Adam Rose’s “rosebuds” on RAW and SmackDown. The only time they will be brought in is if they are within driving distance from Orlando, FL to the TV tapings. From this point forward, the company will be using local indie wrestlers to play the role of “rosebuds”.
Several Midwest indie wrestlers were featured on the most recent TV tapings in Minneapolis, Green Bay and Cleveland. They included Justin Dredd, Chase McCoy, Dysfunction, Joey Avalon and Melanie Cruise.
In an update on this, several NXT talents actually drove up to the most recent set of TV tapings in a van that was rented out by WWE. With that being said, the NXT talents who drove up in that van were not paid for anything extra including gas, food and hotels, etc. Of course, they received their usual NXT salaries but that was it.
