Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat has been released from the WWE due to the recent budget cuts. Steamboat had been working in NXT as a coach and with Triple H in the talent relations department.
In May, Steamboat did promotional work for WWE in Malaysia. He will soon be part of non-WWE DVD interviews and wrestling conventions in the next few months. This is seen as a sign that he’s done with the company.
