— TNA scored some good publicity over the weekend. The Today Show on NBC featured a piece on TNA signing Chris Melendez over the weekend. Melendez is a former Army Sergeant, who served his country in Afghanistan and was awarded a Purple Heart when he lost part of his left leg. With TNA having another three days of TV tapings in New York City this week, the positive publicity is coming at the right time.
— As noted last week here on the website, TNA Knockout Brooke Tessmacher and Samuel Shaw recently signed new “multi-year” contracts with TNA Wrestling. According to sources, many of TNA’s new talent contracts are no-risk for them because they are pay based on the dates they work. Basically, if they aren’t booked, the cost is minimal to TNA.
