As previously reported, John Cena vs. CM Punk from 2011 to 2013 is one of the feuds set to be featured in the WWE 2K15 video game. According to sources, the game design and the WWE 2K15 feature of a “great rivalries” story mode was created nearly a year ago. This would mean that is was set several months before Punk departed WWE.
Word is that there was no way to change the game this late in the design process without completely removing the entire story mode, which is why Punk is featured in the game. So his inclusion does not mean that he has come to an agreement for a new deal with WWE.
At this time, sources say that Punk and the company have had “little to no communication” since February 2014.
