UPDATE: Wednesday’s edition of iMPACT! Wrestling scored a 0.79 (0.8) cable rating, which was up from the 0.65 rating the show did last week. That show was the debut on Wednesday night. Wednesday’s show averaged 928,000 viewers, which was also up from the 852,000 viewers the week before.
The numbers are an improvement, but obviously not where TNA would like to be. I think it’s safe to say that the change of nights is still hurting things. We should have a clearer idea of how the show will perform on the new night after 4-6 weeks on the new night (between September 10th and 24th).
ORIGINAL: Thursday night’s episode of iMPACT! Wrestling drew 928,000 viewers and a 0.3 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic. Those numbers are up 9% and even, respectively, with 852,000 and a 0.3 demo rating last week. Obviously the viewership increase is probably due to the show’s audience finding it now that it’s had a week on the Wednesday schedule.
The show is still down 17% and a tenth from the last Thursday episode, though it’s above the viewership that the TV movie that aired two weeks ago did. The demo rating was still down from that point though. So long story short: improvement, but it still has a little ways to go.
The final rating number will be out shortly.
