Backstage Update – Steve Austin’s WWE Return?

UPDATE WWE is reportedly trying to bring Stone Cold Steve Austin back to the WWE in some form. Austin is currently open to a return if the money and creative plans are right. He said he needs months to prepare and everything would have to go just right to be successful.

WWE has been promoting Austin’s podcast on TV and producing more of his merchandise. The company reportedly told distributors to go into “heavy production” on the merchandise. This could be because Austin is coming back. However, there is also the possibility that WWE just wants to renew a big push of Stone Cold products.

ORIGINAL: The current word going around is that WWE Hall Of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is expected to make his return to WWE television in some form in the near future.

WWE has informed their distributors to go into heavy production on Austin merchandise, so the expectations are that he will be returning to television soon.

Another reason many are expecting an Austin return to WWE TV is due to the fact that the company promoted his podcast on RAW, something that they didn’t do for Chris Jericho even when Triple H was a guest on his show.
