UPDATE: According to AdAge, Pepsi, Mattel and K-mart are among the first advertisers set for the WWE Network. Ads begin airing this week and, “will live as 30-second spots in between shows within the network’s 24/7 stream of programming, but there will be no commercial breaks within programming itself.”
For on-demand content, users will be served one 15 or 30-second spot on every fourth stream.
ORIGINAL: WWE send out an email to network subscribers today, announcing that starting today, that they would be running limited video advertisements. This is a move that had been expected since the Network launched. They email read as follows…
“Dear WWE Network Subscriber,
Today WWE Network will begin to run limited video advertisements.
Here is what you can expect:
* No commercial breaks during scheduled programming
* Limited advertising between shows
* Occasional advertising before our video-on-demand content
