— As noted earlier, it was announced on RAW that Goldust and Stardust will defend the WWE Tag Team Titles against the Usos inside a steel cage at this week’s SmackDown. The show tapes tomorrow night in Albany, New York and airs Friday on SyFy.
— UPDATE: The Friday, October 31st edition of WWE SmackDown scored a final 1.64 (1.6) cable rating, according to Nielsen Media Research. The 1.64 final draw marks a decrease compared to the 1.67 final cable rating that the show drew the previous week.
Friday’s SmackDown averaged 2.213 million viewers, which was also down from last week’s average of 2.279 million viewers.
It’s worth noting that SmackDown aired during the Halloween holiday, and also faced stiff sports competition in the form of the NBA game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Chicago Bulls, which drew 3.877 million viewers on ESPN.
— ORIGINAL: Looks like not many WWE viewers went trick or treating. Friday’s episode of WWE Smackdown drew 2.21 million viewers and a 0.6 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic. Those numbers are essentially stable from the week before, down 3% and even with 2.28 million and a 0.6 demo rating.
Of course, it’s also important to note that previous week’s ratings were the lowest since July 4th and as such, so were Friday’s. The household rating will be available later.
