A report is making its way around the internet that WWE is planning to replace Dean Ambrose in his TLC match this weekend against Bray Wyatt by subbing in Roman Reigns. That report, as the “rumor killer” headline suggests, is inaccurate.
The reports began when last night’s Wrestling Observer Radio saw a discussion of TLC in which it was suggested that WWE would have the option of bringing Reigns in at the show to give him a big win before the Royal Rumble. In this speculative scenario, Ambrose could be taken out because of the “crushed trachea” injury storyline that they ran with.
Again, just to be clear, the rumor is false. Roman Reigns is still expected to return at the Royal Rumble as of the last actual report.
