— As noted earlier, independent pro wrestler Scorpio Sky, who appeared on WWE television once as “Harold” during the Daniel Bryan and Kane storyline, has been tweeting about his desire to fight CM Punk in the UFC. Sky has fought three amateur MMA bouts in the past.
— WWE reportedly has big plans in mind for next week’s post-TLC edition of RAW. As noted, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar is scheduled to return and the hype for WWE’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view is expected to officially begin.
— Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown dropped quite a bit in viewership and ratings. The show drew 2.49 million viewers and a 0.6 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic. Those numbers are down 18% and two tenths from last week’s 3.05 million and 0.8 demo rating, and represent the lowest numbers since November 7th (viewers) and October 31st (demo rating).
The show drew a 1.74 (1.7) household/cable rating, down 17% from last week’s 2.09.
