UPDATE: There were complaints about the TNA production missing shots during the show, one example being that they missed the shot where Jeremy Borash slapped EC3. David Sahadi, who had been directing the shows, was not the director for last night’s show, so someone new was in charge.
As far as backstage segments go, the fans live at the venue had no idea what was happening as there were no screens for them to watch on. So things like the Lashley’s issues with MVP were not known before the main event aired.
Following the tapings tonight and tomorrow, TNA will be post-producing those episodes in Nashville.
ORIGINAL: There were several delays during last night’s iMPACT! taping. TNA was using the Manhattan Center’s production equipment, and there were delays, which led to Jeremy Borash having to kill time in front of the live crowd.
The same thing happened when Steve Karel’s Urban Wrestling Federation filmed their first PPV there and this is one of the reasons ROH didn’t run Final Battle at the venue last month. TNA running live to tape instead of live allowed them time to correct the issues and continue the tapings.
