Barrett on holding the Intercontinental title: “When I was a kid in love with WWE, my favorite wrestlers were guys like Bret “The Hitman” Hart, British Bulldog and the Ultimate Warrior. One thing they all seemed to have in common was they held the Intercontinental Championship. The title has always held a lot of prestige, and it’s always a great honor when I have it on my waist.”

Barrett on getting cheered in the UK: “The majority of my career I have been booed, but when I go home to the U.K., I tend to be cheered being the local guy. But to be honest the main thing you want when in WWE, you want a reaction one way or the other. Whether people are cheering or booing you, what matters is they are paying attention and having a good time.”
