Talk continues within TNA that Vince Russo will be scaling back his role as TNA’s head writer.
While many will be glad to see somebody new take over, Russo is known for writing long, detailed scripts – and whoever gets that position will have a lot of segments to write each week. Although many fans seem to ‘hate’ on Russo for some odd reason (likely due to PAST issues), the guy works his ass off behind the scenes and the final creative decisions aren’t even his to make. He’s also been very open to ideas from talent and has had no issues with his script being edited by others. He takes a lot of crap from ‘fans’ who don’t know much about what he does other than what they read on this website. I see many people take the approach of ‘blame Russo’ which couldn’t be farther from the truth, especially these days.
Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff have been editing Russo’s scripts each week, but neither one of them wants to write a full script from scratch each week.
