In an interview with the Asheville Citizen-Times, Edge (a/k/a Adam Copeland) indicated that he is nearing the end of his wrestling career.
He said he plans to settle down with his girlfriend in Asheville, North Carolina once he retires, where WWE is holding a RAW brand house show tonight.
“I’m coming up on my 20th year, and I’ve definitely had some injuries that have shortened my career,” Edge said.
“That’s part of the reason I bought up here — we want to retire and listen to the wind in the trees, and we want to do it fairly soon. I may have two more years. With each injury, it’s harder and harder to come back.”
It should be noted that talent is always saying things like this and they always wind up staying around for much longer so take that quote for what it’s worth.
