— Gary Michael Cappetta, the former WCW ring announcer and ROH backstage interviewer, is said to be the lead announcer for MTV2’s upcoming lucha series Masked Warriors. The series is taping its first episodes on Sunday at The Show at Agua Caliente Resort, Spa in Rancho Mirage, CA. The belief is that the show will be in a half-hour format. Originally the plan was to dub American commentary over AAA tapes, but that was nixed in consultation with focus groups. Marco Corleone (Mark Jindrak), Lizmark Jr., Mascarita Dorada, Octagoncito and Tinieblas Jr. are scheduled for the debut taping, and former WWE Creative team member Alex Abrahantes is working with the writing team.

— SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long announced on Friday Night SmackDown! that over the Memorial Day weekend, The Undertaker was found by his brother Kane “in a vegetative state,” following a vicious assault of unknown origins. As noted earlier, the storyline sparked much curiosity regarding the health of The Undertaker as according to www.India-Server.com, thousands of wrestling fans are searching online to find out whether he has really died. The website added: “Till now no official statement has been issued by the wrestler’s family or the World Wrestling Entertainment. The fans of Undertaker are praying for his well being.”
