Gilbert wrestling family patriarch Tommy Gilbert (pictured above on the right) passed away at the age of 75 this morning. He was a star in Memphis for years and also worked for other Southern wrestling territories like Continental, Florida and Puerto Rico’s WWC. He won several titles, including the Florida Heavyweight championship and the WWC Caribbean heavyweight championship, as well as many Tag Team championships. His sons Eddie and Doug also became wrestlers and became stars in Memphis the NWA, Global and more.
