Backstage Update – Sami ‘Solomon Crowe’ Callihan’s NXT Release

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Sami Callihan (Solomon Crowe in NXT) requested his WWE release so that he could revamp his current image. Sources close to Callihan tell the site that he was upset about things never coming together in NXT, so that led to him requesting his release. Callihan wants to, “reinvent his image on the independent scene as one of the best wrestlers in the world.”

There is no heat on Callihan for asking his release, with the word being that he left WWE on good terms and that the door was left open for a future return.

Pro Wrestling Sheet also reported earlier today that Rocky Romero was invited there to work as a guest trainer. The ROH and NJPW star will be there for the next few days talking about his experiences in wrestling and working with talent in the ring.
